This feels like it's overcomplete. Is there a company that uses a single software application (or even suite) to carry out all of the functions you summed up the across all the domains? Design and development at its core, yes, but be ready to make lots of integrations with other applications along the product life cycle.
Indeed. There are often several applications involved in managing product information throughout the lifecycle, and rarely everything is managed in one single system.
