Thank you for the info I’ve been harvesting cone flower sunflowers 4 o’clock marigolds calendula bachelor buttons zinnias and much more lol a lot of work but you save tons of money . I didn’t know how to collect the daisy seeds but thanks to you know I do so again thanks very much happy gardening 🧑‍🌾

I watched another video that said the flower should stay on the plant until the stem is brown, that’s how you know the seeds are ready.

Does it not have to stay on the plant to form seeds

Do they have to be cold over the winter?

Not one word about COLD STRATIFING the seed. And they need light to sprout and it takes 2 yrs for them to bloom. I just dug up an entire box of bulbs from one plant that I let the seed heads drop and self start on their own. Nature at work. Now I just don't know what to do with this many bulbs!

i had a thought that in our modern day asmr is the appreciation of some specific sensory experience. Whats interesting is that asmr is not necessarily the sensory experience of what is around onesself at a moment. "back in our day we called asmr 'smelling the flowers' " and so i looked up flower sniffing asmr and here it is.

Do the flowers have to be dried before getting the seeds, or can you do so when the flowers are mostly dead and easy to pull apart?

This video leaves some questions left un answered. How long do you leave the flower bloom before you cut them from the mother plant? Also starting from seed when would you see blooms?

When do you do this?

I imagine because of the recent and very vast swing in antique trends linen cards will be a hot commodity if postcard collecting comes anywhere near in swing again as this newer generation seems to be hyper focused on “Vintage” “retro” “Art Deco” and all the things traditional “Antique” collectors would detest… You can’t hardly give away an Eastlake chair these days… but one of those plastic jobs from the 50’s !? Can’t keep it on a shelf. Depending on where you are the pinup girl and “Banana” would move fairly quick at about $22.00 each… Everything else would be a slow burn… but $5-$10 each would be the average. Personally I’d like to have the Chinatown ones as I have a very sad Chinatown section in my boxes of a whopping 3 out of 6,700 so according to my own collection they are actually the most rare…. But that is mostly because of my location. eBay has really slaughtered the market on these types of things sadly. 🙄 seems like overnight everyone with a laptop became a dealer.

I took some special Hydrangea cuttings from my parents garden in autumn 2017. They did so well for me that I even made a video about two years ago where I took cuttings from these cuttings.

Great video and advice. I took some Hydrangea cuttings in October 2017 and got them all to take. Unfortunately a cat dug one of them up but the other three are now doing well. It took over 7 minutes to explain something that could have taken 2 minutes. She didn't explain when the seeds should be planted. We spent more time watching her play with the seeds.

Had another watch of your video - when you grow allium from seed, how long do they take to flower? Do they flower in the first year? Or does it take a few years for the bulbs to grow enough to have a bloom? Thanks!
