    I try to avoid difficult vintages, especially wet ones. Let’s call them „mildew vintages“ because of exceptionally high usage of pesticides.

    I enjoyed. My wife and I had pleasure of going to Sanford Winery a couple years ago and enjoyed a tasting a bought a couple bottles. One of which we had just the other night. It was delicious. It was a 17’ La Ricanada (sp.)It’s more than we usually spend but man was it good.

    The only 2021 I bought is Les Carmes Haut Brion, other that that I am out. Having so many 2018,19,20s out there and at great prices why bother with 2021 that was clearly a bad almost terrible vintage? Lots of great wines from the 2020 vintage that are definitely priced correctly.

    I wasn't sure you worked like that. I really like it and I have noticed that your scores are very close which make me feel confident and I fell more certain regarding en primeur and so on. It's clear from your notes that you are both very qualified and experienced tasters

    2022 is going to be an expensive vintage due to inflation and low volume. Consumers will find more value in 2019 and 2020 vintage.

    • @nikolajkrarup-os9gn
      @nikolajkrarup-os9gn ปีที่แล้ว

      It's extremely expensive. I'm happy I bought 2019 en primeur. It's payd so much less and it's a great vintage. 2022 might be a bit better but I doubt it will justify the vast increase in price

    This is by far the best team of professional tasters today. Antonio has the expansive palate and passion of Parker without the penchant for overrating while Neil is a balancing force, skeptical, independent, and cerebral. Together, they have become my trusted Go-To for professional ratings.

    Teresa, anche le guide di lor signori si sono accorti dei vostri Barolo, era ora. Chissà cosa direbbe Bartolo dei prezzi ai quali li vendi oggi. Era già un grande vino a 50 mila lire o 50 euro alla bottiglia, lo stesso che oggi vendi a 300. Un prezzo poco socialista vero Teresa? Ma d altronde come hai detto si cresce e si capiscono tante cose.

    Antonio, you are right to blame the hypocrites who claim that tomorrow they will be virtuous but who, in the meantime, allow themselves all the turpitudes. However, there are today vintners who despise them even more. Namely, those who reduce their GHG emissions because they regenerate the life in the soils, plant trees, install photovoltaic panels, consume exclusively renewable electricity, take drastic measures to improve tractors fuel consumption, lower the weight of the bottles, use eco-friendly packaging but also protect the well-being and safety at work, strive to reduce the sulfur and copper quantities and use no other biocide, ban chemical additives in the cellar, (except sulfur and again with parsimony), encourages biodiversity, run a multinational and multiethnic staff and not content to have done all this are aware that there is still so much to do not only for the habitat as for the surrounding human community. Sustainability (I don't like the word) is not just visual; some winegrowers sincerely strive to preserve the environment. The consumer will undoubtedly endorse these endeavours if he is informed. Isn't the critic's raison d'être to help him separate the wheat from the chaff?
