2024 NYOA Rd 8-Baldwin Trail Riders
Round 8 of the 2024 NYOA Season
Got off to another great start right behind Trevor Morrison at the holeshot line. Lap 1 I had a good pace going until a bottleneck at mile 4. There were 3 riders stuck in all 3 lines allowing racers from row 21 to catch up before it cleared. With so many downed trees around, I elected to wait until the path cleared. This pushed me to last place at the end of lap 1. Lap 2 I rode smart and consistent. With several riders falling to mechanical failure and a consistent pace I was able to make my way into 6th place for the checkered flag. See everyone in 2 weeks for round 9-Twisted Fence!

Round 5 of the 2024 NYOA Season Got off to another great start right behind Trevor Morrison at the holeshot line with Garrett Riegel passing me before we got into the woods. I pushed hard the first half of lap 1 and kept a steady pace till the start of lap 2. Lap 2 was a complete struggle for me and was 10 minutes slower than my first. I raced the first 2 rounds of the D6 XC series and this is from round 1 of the NEXC series. Next race will be NEXC at Broome-Tioga raceway in Richford, NY

Yeah my jaw dropped when I saw you come to a stop in 3rd or 4th gear outta that field section.
It helps out a lot in the tight, slow woods sections. There is no need to slip the clutch when going through tricky obstacles. I still clutch when downshifting to help save the motor. I’m relatively new to racing and the rekluse allows me to focus other aspects of riding instead of the thought of stalling
