So which design predates the other? 1 guess...yep, AT habitat definitely was designed before the Skinny Guy - so you know which one was the original, and which one copied which (yep, Skinny Guy copied the AT habitat design).

I've watched a handful of videos on this product line, and specifically the BaseCap since I would want full use of my truck bed space and keep the payload weight low. It's the only product I have found so far that one could keep on their truck and still drive into a standard 7' garage opening, which is a huge win for some people paricularly if living in an HOA neighborhood that disallows parking in the driveway. However, with all the canvas, nobody is talking about performance while camping in a rainstorm, especially a heavy downpour. One individual I communicated with privately said that they tested a unit and did not stay dry in a downpour. Having once owned a tent trailer, I have a healthy amount of skepticism about this being an issue. The Aqualon Edge fabric that is used is apparently excellent quality for it's intended use, which looks to be outdoor marine fabric (like Sunbrella) for boat covers and biminis. That is to say, water resistance but not necessarily waterproof. I'd love to see more reviews about peformance in rain--not rainwater collection but just staying dry inside. And I would also love to hear about any enhancements that SGC might be doing with respect to the tent material to make it rainproof, such as perhaps having a vinyl or other coating on the sky-facing surfaces of the canvas. For me, it would have to be "turnkey" and not a DIY recommendation for the application of Scotchguard or other coating.

great video, im doing tons of research. want a awd or 4x4 van with a minimal light weight build that can tow a boat that with trailer and gear weights 4600#. having a hard time finding what van weights after built out to do my calculations, before this video it was either a transit 3500 or 3.0 sprinter 3500. now i m questioning the transit.

Really well thought out. I was already impressed and then blown away by the pop up space. I forgot about it completely! Massive amounts of super functional overheard space while still keeping plenty of headroom.
