New weekend, new adventure! This weekend, we head MERSING to check out a 'NEW' campsite that we have never been to & discovered unexpected..... Watch to find out what happened!
One of the BEST campsite in Desaru

📍 Punggai Buyu Impian Campsite: This is one of our favourite campsites to visit for short trips. Its is located at Desaru, just 1.5hrs drive away for JB and we especially love this campsite because it is by the beach. Toilets are clean, the guys working around the campsite are really nice too. *Do note that it can get really crowded, especially during holiday period so remember to make bookings...
FIRST van check 6 months adventure.. & camping!

Towards the end of our 6 months adventure, our van started showing some errors, so this weekend, we took some time out to get it checked to have a peace of mind! We visited Kek Seng Autoparts, the people there were amazing, we did the live diagnosis and the owner helped breakdown the issue, explained and showed us what are the part that needs to be changed so that was great! Thankfully, on a br...

Another great video. I see you guys put in a lot of effort into your videos. I would recommend a big QR code on the van.

Beautiful campsite. Love your set up
Thankyou! ☺️
Welcome to Malaysia brother. I want to go camping in Singapore. can you recommend where the camping site is suitable for campervan?
@@kadekcampers thank you brother! We love camping in Malaysia! For us, we typically do tent camping in Singapore mainly Puala Ubin and West Coast Park. We aren't too familiar with car camping back home, sorry 🙏🏼 Our van too is Malaysia registered so it doesn't enter SG 😭
Soo yums!
Awesome!
:)
alamak, did you give back the vehicle permit form at counter 8?
we did return the permit back, heng man 🙏🏼 we were so lost ended up returning the permit first before we even stamp the passport, hahaha.. you cross here often too?

Hi guys, really enjoyed your Thailand series. I'm thinking about doing a Suzuki Carry Van conversion in Thailand and learned lots from your series. I know it takes a LOT of work to make/edit these vids so thanks, much appreciated. Happy travels :)
Hello, thankyou so much for your lovely comment, it keeps us going! 🥹 happy conversion & traveling to you too! Hit us up on Instagram (@bokchoytravels) to share your conversion with us if you don’t mind! We’re really excited for you! 🥳
my favourite place with my bb
What nationality are you guy?
we are both from Singapore😄
Nice video. Next time visit us here on Don Som (we're the only guesthouse). And please wear a helmet next time. Accidents (also fatal) sadly do happen.
Hello, thankyou for your lovely comment and concern ♥️ We didn’t know there’s a guesthouse in Don Som. We will definitely visit again & dropby your place in the future! We enjoyed our motorbike ride there so much, it was beautiful! ☺️ it’s a place we often recommend to people visiting Laos!
At some of PT gas station ( different from PTT) that has the sign of Max Camp, there is proper car camping area equipped with shower room, toilet, laundry area and even sleeping section or room in case you could not sleep in the car. It's free for member only but you can apply membership free of charge at the gas station when you fill up you tank.
nice! we have slept once or twice at the PT with max camp, really nice amenities there especially the shower! Just that the max camps are too few around Thailand, we are always on the look out for one whenever we need to sleep over a petrol kios 😃 U been travelling around Thailand too?
@@bokchoy.travels I am local and always do truck camping around Thailand whenever I got free time.. Wishing you guy safe and happy trip all the way.
@@danc.8770 thank you! and happy camping too, may our path cross some day!
Just checked for hotels now.25 plus more hotels under 50 dollars well under that price.
we are probably plagued by a few factors: - Dec to Feb being the peak travel period in Koh Phangan - Our travels are too ad hoc so we usually only find accomodation on the day or one day before 50 USD is actually really pricey for us which is what we paid for at our first night hotel. Our most expensive hotel in the first half a year of travelling was actually 25USD in a major city. Most we are out at campsites or dorm style accomodations.
How did the leech got on to you?? 😢😮Did you feel pain ? We love to be super comfy in our flip flops, slippers so when we go to camp grounds, these nasty bloodsuckers latch on to us happily😢
I suspect that leech was from the toilet because i noticed i stepped onto something but didn't cared much.. it wasn't painful and was unnoticed. I only knew it was latched onto me when i noticed blood on the bed 😬 and I still needed to find where it was on me. I think typically it's ok to walk around camp site in slippers, this seems quite an isolated incident and the only leech we have gotten from all the campsites we have been too so far.
Hi❤
hello 👋🏻
Not easy, especially after driving the whole day
this was really one of the scarier night drives and without GPS 😂.. yesh haha, really tiring, I drop dead once i reached the other national park camp site
That was a bloody jungle walk 😢
hahaha ilterally blood.. there's so many leeches that latched on 😬😬😬
How much did you spend on engine and water pump?
the engine belt and water pump replacement, i think was around 300sgd or less, i will need to check the receipt. Lucky, we were in Thailand so spare parts are easily available 🙏🏼
After this episode i couldn't find or see the episodes 3 to 8.
oh yea, u noticed, sorrie about that, throughout these months of travelling, day 3 to 8 was the only days we lost the footage 🙏🏼 thanks for watching our videos!!

hehe thank you, we hope you enjoy, more to come! The Laos part of our travels was a very enjoyable one :D
You should ask the petrol station they need advertisement😅
How long is your drive from Kon Lor to Vientiane?
Around 7.5 hours with some rest in between, roads are ok.. a bit of pot hole filled roads nearer to Vientiane, short but annoying haha
Yummy 😋
🤤
Hi brother we are from Malaysia we would like to drive to Cambodia. Is our TM2 and customs declaration original from Thailand need to keep and only give to imgresen a photocopy.
Hihi brother, correct, both the TM2 form and the vehicle import and export form originally belongs to Thailand side, when you drive into any Thai border to enter Thailand, you will get: a. Vehicle import export form (photocopy 2 copies) b. TM2 form aka vehicle passport (photocopy 2 copies) Photocoping 2 additional sets of these Thailand customs form that you previously received tends to help the crossing process when entering Cambodia. So Thailand take back original, Cambodia take one set, then you still have one more set spare with you after you crossed into Cambodia Technically, you do not need to show the Cambodia side the TM2 form, but things do go easier when they have it. Have fun be Cambodia! Any questions feel free to ask 😁 Also if you look at Day 98 video, there's the Cambodia customs website that you can register yourself on to generate your vehicle entry/exit form as well, we didnt get to do this and the customs officer helped us with it but if you do it before hand, your clearance even faster and maybe no need pay so much kopi money
she's pretty!
Susan is the bomb 😊
Berapa salinan diperlukan untuk custom declaration form (thai) and TM2 sir? And any document must photocopy too?

@bokchoy.travels wow. That was a lot indeed especially at Laos side. We are entering Laos tomorrow from Thailand, tonight will camp in Chiang Khong and drive in tomorrow morning. It is damn cold at night. Have a great time in Cambodia bro
u too bro, enjoy.. may our path cross haha
We love this campsite. Super windy. The owner is superb and very helpful. Love our camping experience there. Feel sorry for you have to go to one border to another...that form is important...you must take a photocopy or at least snap a photo as proof in case this thing happens.
insane right the wind, the 3am wind really scares us a little daily haha.. ya man, i totally didn't collect my tm2 form when i returned from Cambodia to Thailand, big mistake man
Lovely and interesting road drive....👌

awwww 😘
Do they have tent, sleeping bags, sleeping mats and porter for foreigners like me?
hihi, yep there is, we are foreigners too who don't have our full camping gears with us.. so what you do is you first head to Thong Pha Phum national park to register for the hike, calling in will be better for reservation (we walked in).. see 0:50 mark, you can rent tent, sleeping pad and blanket, etc.. After that head 8km to e-tong village, at 7am you can pass your stuff to the porters, it's 50baht/kg/way from what the national park told us (we didn't hire porters).. From google map in E-tong village you will see a temporily closed school beside the helipad, the building beside that school are where you pass your stuff to the porters at 7am there (hike starts at 8am).. don't worry, the national park staff will pass you these information and google locations once you register yourself Plenty of food stores open at 7am shall you need to pack food for the hike. P.S. the porters are really sick, they setup your tent for you, take photos for you at the summit 👍🏼
