I worked at VW for 16 years. I always recommend that when exploring NURBS, you start with 2D shapes and convert them to a NURBS curve or surface. Then dive into the menu commands, OIP, and Reshape tool (check your modes), and then explore the 3D modeling tool set to get the desired shape. If you ever get stuck go to the help menu > choose What's This? and click on the tool or menu command to find out more information on that particular function. Your videos are great for showing how to put the full workflow together! Showing a series of small videos of how you create planes, cars and boats are fantastic!
Excellent work! The NURBS modeling is superb! It's an area people are hesitant to explore in Vectorworks. Keep posting tutorials. They are extremely useful!!
Hi, thanks for the nice comment. I am assuming you are asking about VW's Spotlight. Full Disclosure., I have never used Spotlight or any other modules. I am a NURBS specialist and render/animate in Cinema 4D. Sorry about that, but the VW Forum would have an answer to that question.
@@vectorworksnurbsmodelling6049 hi, canada, i dont know how to 3d model and definitely cant afford this 3d modeling software... i was just wondering if you have just a 3d model of this geodesic sphere (just the unmodified sphere but with more triangle sections), i can't find anything like it on the internet and i have searched far and wide :(
@@avroarrowcf-105channel8 i just want to make some 3d model stuff and my idea was to make like a nature thing in a dome... i am new to 3d modeling and i dont have software to make this
Hi Jonathan, made that several years ago. I have a 12 episode series on TH-cam. This is Episode 6. Everything was modelled in Vectorworks except characters. That channel is called Virtualenvirons.....regards....Paul th-cam.com/video/y9BwiAl_0cQ/w-d-xo.html
