Get Lost!
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 พ.ค. 2023
Find me Eating, Doing, and LIVING... Just about anywhere on Earth.
Let's Get Lost... Together!
New countries, new cities, new experiences... And a ton of fun and laughter along the way. On this channel I'll be posting my food, travel, and local experiences from all over the World. I'm based in New York City, so join me as I eat my way outward from NYC through the boroughs, states, countries, and continents of planet Earth, and try to provide you with some travel guidance along the way. 🌎
I'm Josh, and I've broken through so many of my own personal fears through my travel experiences. It's my goal to visit every country on the planet, eat every kind of cuisine known to man, and to try every experience there is to try at least once.
I've bathed in Onsens in Japan, hiked a volcano in Guatemala, cruised down the Seine in Paris, drank wine with locals in Portugal, and bathed elephants in Thailand... and I'm just getting started.
Care to join me?

Is GREECE always like THIS?? (Tour Guides at WAR) 🥩🇬🇷
Is THESSALONIKI, GREECE always like THIS?? It is said by some to be a Chill and Relaxed town in the Northern part of the country. Thessaloniki is many things, but one thing I found out pretty quickly is that... it isn't exactly "chill".
It was my birthday and I was determined to make a trip. So I headed west from Istanbul toward Thessaloniki on a bus, with very little information beforehand.
Somehow, I ended up in the middle of a really wild and unhinged battle between tour guides. The tour guide culture in Thessaloniki has a lot of... um... tension? And it was better than any reality show getting the chance to see it firsthand.
I ate amazing food, and hopped aboard a free drink cruise before making my way to Meteroa, one of the most iconic tourist attractions in the nation of Greece. It was totally different in every way from Thessaloniki proper, but it was incredible and one of the coolest things I've ever been a part of.

BULGARIA is NOT What You Think. (Is this place for real??) 🇧🇬🤔
มุมมอง 41216 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
SOFIA, BULGARIA is a place where few American travelers go. I had no preconceptions about it whatsoever. For all intents and purposes, Bulgaria was a completely blank slate. And naturally, because I'm a person who needs to do unique and interesting things... I decided to go and visit. I immediately went to work trying some of the most iconic local Bulgarian cuisine, and viewing many of the most...
SOUTH AFRICAN FOOD is NOT what you THINK. (I ate Ostrich?) 🤔🇿🇦
มุมมอง 2.8K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
FOOD in SOUTH AFRICA is a mystery. Before visiting Cape Town I had no idea what the locals ate. South African food has been influenced by so many different cultures, it can be hard to define. But at the end of the day... it is one thing. Delicious. I spent a month in Cape Town, and I had the chance to really dig in and try some of the local cuisine. From the cheapest street food such as with Bo...

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA is quickly becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations. Not just in Africa, but for tourists around the world. Cape Town's popularity is booming, and it's easy to see why... But it's not quite perfect. I spent a month based out of Cape Town, and I quickly fell in love with so many of the things I found there. STREET FOOD in BUDAPEST, HUNGARY is SETTING the BAR 🤤🇭🇺

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY is known for so many things. It's easily the most recognizable Hungarian city, and one of the better places to visit in all of Europe. But for all the things they're known for, the Street Food has to be one of the highest on the list. When you visit other places in Europe, eating is an "event". There is nothing wrong with that, but Hungary's street food scene feels really spec...

BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA is not the most popular travel site in Europe. It's so near to Vienna, but it's oftentimes overlooked in favor of other cities within Eastern and Central Europe. What's more, is that the Stereotypes of Bratislava as depicted in the 2004 Teen Comedy "Eurotrip" will have you believing that Bratislava is... well, a total wasteland. BARCELONA and MADRID have some of the BEST, Must-Eat FOOD in both SPAIN and in the entire World. I am going the end of October… I’m curious what it is like during that time. Will I freeze to death? (I live in the south)
As a tour guide, I see both sides of this Tour Guide battle. The reason Greece wants all tour guides to be licensed is just a way to make money. In NYC, where I am a tour guide, it is illegal to give sightseeing tours without a license. And to get a license you have to take a 200 question test on the city of NY to be a official tour guide. Some tour guides wear this proudly and often proclaim themselves to be a "licensed NYC tour guide" at the top of the tour which is code for "i'm legit." However, the truth is you only need to get half the test right to get your license. You could be unlicensed and know more about NYC than a licensed tour guide does. So I don't think its absolutely necessary to have to be licensed to give tours. Having said that, I might be pissed if I was paying 75 bucks every year to be licensed while someone else is giving tours without having to pay for this. On the other side of this, the tour guide and tour company should have warned of this fact beforehand instead of an odd warning at the top of the tour and only explaining the situation AFTER they were caught. You should not have been put in that position and I wouldn't have blamed you if you "snitched." Free tours are a thing in NYC but you still have to get licensed. I don't know how much it costs to get licensed in Greece but this company seems to be cutting corners wherever they can since I assume they only make money on tips.

Sir, you brought money from outside our economic circuit and boosting our economy. You did your part - you frequented local places and thereby you put food on local's tables. Please come back again.

As a Capetonian, I really enjoyed this video. Well done buddy. You captured it well, and were pretty funny 😄

Well, you may think he is a dictator - but one must realize where the origin of the title comes from. It comes from the old Rome and was an extraordinary magistrate appointed during times of crisis. Sort of hitting, not? He was appointed and fixes the problem. Ups. Democracy is good - but when you face a tremendous issue like they did, it is appropriate to fix it even if you temporary have to suspend certain procedures. And - it worked. And then he did not behave as dictator anymore (or: like a good historical dictator he rescinded his powers) and got re-elected. And he puts it on a great trajectory now - similar to Dubai.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, the whole thing is truly a fascinating case study on government. I'm following it closely and am looking forward to going back a few years down the line!
The brainwashing always showed up when outsiders make videos about S.A. The word APARTHEID wil always find a place in the clip. Flippen flying demons! S.A. is long gone away from that, so pls catch a wake up!
Traditional polish restaurant in Poland - serves czech beer. No wonder it is a successful business.
Wroclaw is Polish, case closed.
Those performers are most probally getting minium wage doing the same dance 5 times a day.. Those similes are fake or grimaces of tiredness. They are forced to smile btw by their dance captains.
So many people have so much to say about these dancers, but the dancers told us their story themselves. Where they were from. What they were doing it for. So I'll tend to believe them and not some people on the internet making assumptions. And *of course* they're putting on the smile as part of the performance, that's how dancing works?

Honey, I think so many Americans not having passports has more to do with poverty, as opposed to not having any intellectual curiosity. Nearly half of Americans can't afford a $400 emergency, much less travel to Europe. That said, for those who do travel, Poland is usually last on their list. And it's a shame!
I think for some that's certainly true, but coming from a very rural region in the USA there are many (many many) people I know personally who don't have a passport and it has nothing to do with their income and everything to do with having no interest in exploration beyond their own backyard. But I agree, it's a large expense regardless and most choose the biggies like Paris or Rome when they finally can go.
@@Get.Lost.Travel I'm literally referring to statistics. Nearly half can't afford a $400 emergency. And isn't that close to the amount you said don't have a passport?....Doesn't it strike you as ignorant to expect those people to travel to Europe when just the plane ticket alone usually costs over $1000?...You're choosing to believe things based on anecdotal experiences, rather than statistics. MOST people can't even afford to travel. SOME aren't intellectually curious. You got it flipped.
Exactly

for your information, the movie Eurotrip was filmed in the Czech Republic in the city of Milovice on a former military base of the Soviet Army. The film has nothing to do with Bratislava. Only the American people like to humiliate other countries. Borat - Kazakhstan. Kofola has nothing in common with your American toilet cleaning water that contains hydrogen fluoride.
I actually know that it was filmed in Czechia, the point is that it's *set* in Bratislava, thereby creating the (incorrect) expectation for travelers. Also this is a very serious and intense response for a very lighthearted video that speaks only love for Bratislava and Slovakia. Are you ok?
Are you OK? Your brain. The film is a lie has nothing to do with Bratislava. You know it's a lie, yet you support it. You don't tell lies like that about other countries. Do you need to make money by lying?@@Get.Lost.Travel
