Outstanding great job! Got this exact same issue. I rebuilt the sunroof and installed it over a year ago all was good but last 4 mins it’s been leaking and soaking wet carpet on drivers side. Wasn’t quit sure what or where it was coming from. Glad you did this video it is spot on.
Just happened to me thanks for the advice
Same here except it was my headlights stuck on and a few other funky things. Fuse Panel was soaked. Thanks for the advice.
Thank you. 👩🏽🔧
Did the fuses need to be replaced or did they work after they dried ?
Fuses worked fine after they dried out
October 14th 2022 Same problem after a driving heavy rain. Fuse box was soaked, spent a while with a hair dryer and rags to dry it out. Next is to fix sunroof drain lines and I stuffed terry cloth rags to soak up any future leaks before I can get to them. I will be checking after every rain now..Cars B*te..lol
This happened to me too, right after a huge storm two days ago, at 1am it started going off and I had to unplug my battery. Im going to try this out and hopefully it will fix. The only other solution mention me having to replace my steering wheel which will cost 1000$
Do you have any idea where I can order the plugs that go over the screws in the pull handles? My stupid mechanic lost mine when I had this same exact issue on my 2005 Jeep Liberty.
No but you might have a good shot of you look into local u-pull salvage yards near you.
Just had this same exact thing happen on my girlfriends 2006 liberty. We came home and heard a light metal thumping sound. Tried to turn engine over with the key, nothing. Jumped the battery and alarm and flashers going crazy. Appreciate you explaining a quick fix for this.
TH-cam is great, I just had this exact thing happen to my 2007 Liberty.
And while you're at it go out and buy Weber carburetor and you won't have any trouble anymore actually get better emissions they also have a problem with the accelerator diagram they wear out so buy one of them rebuild kits when you order the carburetor definitely like the carburetor worth the money make sure it's a real Weber carburetor you can tell by choke adjuster it's has a white housing around the adjuster where the wire plugs in that's a real Weber carburetor and get accelerator pump rebuild kit while you at it you'll need it sometime down the road I tend to wear out to easy fix you'll be surprised how well you're Jeep will run after that stay away from Champion spark plugs to they are garbage buy Bosch spark plugs they work good Platinum don't forget to clean distributor cap from time to time with some sandpaper if it looks worn get another 1 change the oil every 4 or 5 how's miles if you live in a warm climate 20-50 oil put a little bit of Marvel Mystery Oil in your gas I have 200,000 miles on my Jeep now lunch as good as the day I bought it when it had nine miles on it I have to 4.2 motor also make sure the gasket under the carburetors not leaking that'll make you a call on the way it is to spray some carburetor cleaner when the motor is running if you hear in the engine change you know it's leaking down there okay I'm moving on now good luck my friend wish I had someone tell me all the crap that goes wrong
How’s the 4.2 my friend?
Yeah I buy fuel pump and check the accelerator pump in the carburetor
Sometimes when the accelerator pump diaphragm leaks or is old it will do that the Bellows inside is wearing I would open it up and take a look at it
My jeep 91 wrangler 4 L does the exact thing as that. When I check the codes it gives me 34 Whitch is my cruise control
Ever figure it out? My 94 does the same thing and I can't seem to figure it out
It sounded like a misfire to me.
Good excercise for him!! LOL
No this is a 2.5L with TBI. The problem was caused by a fuel pressure imbalance from a clogged return line to the tank.
Did you check the hyperspace motivator?
Joel Nutt is that a joke?
So how did u fix it
@@nemesisnta9333 turned out it was a bad o-ring on the TBI. Once that was replaced it balanced out the fuel flow and the surging went away.
helo, what is tbi?
is this a 4.2L? were you able to fix the issue? I'm having some issues were it idles below 5rpm and stall until the motor is warm but it's summer! I've adjusted the intake mixture screw on the carb and played with the throttle screw to even things out. it worked for a day then it started to do the rough idle all over again.
Thanks Art, very good initiative to let us know the backoffice from springpad leaders perspective
Thanks, Art! It was a great way to say goodbye!
Hey. I can't seem to find the left bar? I don't have the 'about and filter' bar to the left. :/
