Yellow- Coldplay (Acapella Cover)

Yellow has always been one of my favourite songs, but sometimes I felt like the music was not soft enough compared to lyrics it had. (Since it always had that rock feel to it.) So I arranged an acapella cover of yellow to embrace that soft and gentle feel to it. (I also added a lot of dissonance in the chords lol) This was made with garageband on the iphone.

I really like this song from waitress but the trouble is that I can't really play guitar and no one really knows this song, so I can't really do a 3 part with others LOL. So I created a solo version with a minimalist piano background. (It's mostly just the guitar chords though.) I hope you guys like it.
I heard this live at Christ Church Oxford for evensong on the Day of the Innocents and have never been the same since. The most ethereal sound I ever heard, this song being sung from the choir live, reflecting off the ancient stone of the church. Amazing.

WOW!!! The arrangement is gorgeous!! Where’d you come up with the idea of dissonance?? It really brings out the sad, yet beautiful feel the song was always supposed to have!!
Well as you said, I just thought that yellow is an immensely sad and beautiful song that needed some delicacy to it. So I added 4ths and 7ths to my base chords so that there would be a gentle opposition. I think when I made this I also adjusted the dissonant note tracks a tad quieter in volume
