I have a 2015 Ultra just put some LED lights on from CD and now I got this issue. All lights work. Any suggestions?

Jerry, I know this is a 6 year old video, but I searched and found it because my red light is ON! I have determined that the break lights are not working. I have not changed any lights and the break light is the stock. I checked the bulb and both filaments seem to be in tact. When I use the brake lever or the pedal no brake lights. I can't seem to find a Brake Light Fuse. Any suggestions? Joe

I have a question. I have an 06 dyna wide glide . My little red key shaped light stays on for 5 or 7 seconds after the engine starts then goes out. I dont remember if it always did that and im pretty good with this stuff. Is that normal ? Thanks✌️

I had the same problem on my 2021 RKS.I used to keep my fob inside my empty drink holder(cover on) when I rode. The electrical signal from the fob could not be picked up by the security system and the light came on.

Yeah harley bygod didn't actually allow for me to be able to cut the neck and rake for a longer front end Bad Harley. Now its 2024 models are out same old bullshit.

I have a 2015 FLHTP (police) that has a manufacture date in 2014, I just added some LED lighting and am getting the electrical system/security system light intermittently...Looks like maybe my bike may not have a computer that will automatically recognize the new LED lights...headlight was already LED, added LED passing lights and turn signals and brake light. Should I simply add a load equalizer?

My brother-in-law has an 06 Sportster that has the solid red key and the signal lights don't work. It will not start. Start button does nothing. Any advice?

I have a 2020 Lowrider S. So I just installed a after market LED light. Works great . Picked it up yesterday and today I noticed while I was riding the red security dot came on for a couple minutes and then it went off. Im guessing like you said it doesn’t recognize the new light. If I was to just leave it alone even if it comes on can it cause a problem? Can I just leave it be or do I have to take care of it and get it fixed?

If your brake light is staying on and you have security light, you need to wedge a piece of plastic behind your brake switch on the front master cylinder. At least that's what works for me.

Thank you sir! I just went through my 2008 SG FLHX and added LED lights all the way around, plus a Custom Dynamics SMART Triple Play module and the key light stayed on. So now I know I need a load equalizer. Thanks again buddy!

Just installed front led indicator lights on my 2006 sportster, it hyper flashes. Following day red key light comes on. On the third day speedometer doesn't work, and auto shut off indicator light fails to trigger after making a turn. Sometimes the speedometer will work after restarting the bike, sometimes not, but when speedometer doesn't work neither does the auto shut off indicator. When the speedometer does work so does the auto shut off indicator. So I know both speedometer and auto shut off turn indicator lights are related. Will install relay on my turn light indicator to see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks, Jerry! I have a 2013 FLS with aftermarket LED lights and the red light comes on solid while I'm riding every now and then. It freaked me out the first time it happened (probably because I was riding through Death Valley at night in July while it was 118 degrees out) and I thought the bike was overheating. Then I was told it had to do with security which my bike does not have, nor a fob, so I figured it was something electrical. However, all my lights have worked just fine so hopefully it's just like you said and the bike is confused about something with the lights even when they work. Cheers!

I added a Eagle Light strobe brake light and my red security light is on all the time on my 2019 FLHTP since my light system doesn't recognize this light, dealer says not to worry, no harm to my motor.

I have 2 harley's: 2018 Sport Glide and a 2016 Slim S. Obviously the new 2018 monoshock rear suspension performes much much better than the 2016 "old" softail dual rear shock system. Is there any after market system that will significantly better the performance of the 2016 softail rear shock system.

Jerry I have all leds on my 13 Roadglide FLTRX I had a Kuryakin load equalizer and have the security light come on while running and I have to shut bike down and restart it. I since swapped out for a Badlands and it stopped it for a while but it did it again tonight. I do also have a brake controller installed. Any advice? Thnks Joe

I have a 18 breakout and my bike just started having the highbeam light and the red light come on. Come to find out my headlight keeps shutting off on me and i cant turn it back on. It keeps fading off and on. Any ideas what this could be? Just simply a new bulb?

I'm new to riding. Purchased a 2008 Harley-Davidson Nightster Sportster one year ago this month with just over 8k miles. Logged 871 miles so far and had the 10k maintenance done at the local HD dealership. Never once have I seen this light go on until about 3 weeks ago, we had a pretty good storm here in south Texas and I didn't get a chance to put the cover over my bike before it really started coming down. Initially, the gauges didn't work at all after the storm but it started and rode fine. Within the last week the gauges mysteriously came back to life and now every time I turn the key to start the bike, that red key light comes on for about 3-4 seconds and then goes out. Gauges are still back to normal, starts and rides fine. Again, prior to the storm and the bike getting soaked, that light never came on at all. Needless to say, I'm perplexed.

You really nailed it on the head for me I just started having issues with my security light coming on while I'm riding I think it might have to do with my LEDs in the rear I think it might be the rear light brake switch my other issue is when my bike is idling in neutral my rear brake lights flash here's an update it does it with just turning the ignition on my rear brake lights flash

Long story short , I got a second hand new style speedo/tack odometer off of my buddies 2017 FLSTC , he traded in , he re installed his original . I put this one on my 2016 FLSTF , and (VINERR) displays . How can this be reset ? I would love to be able to use this speedo combination . I also seen a video saying a turn ign. on for 30 seconds , then off for 30 seconds , doing this 3 times in a row will clear the odometer , and reset mileage . So it will pick up the correct mileage from my ECM . Any help would be greatly appreciated . Ride safe .
