Roller bearing
มุมมอง 3.4Kปีที่แล้ว
Roller bearings - also known as rolling-element bearings - are similar to ball bearings in that they are designed to carry a load while minimizing friction. However, roller bearings transmit loads using cylinder rolling elements, rather than balls, to maintain the separation between moving parts of the bearing. Bearing life is essentially the length of time a bearing can be expected to perform ...
Water shut-off ball valve working

ball valve working animation ball valve assembly A ball valve is a shut off valve that controls the flow of a liquid or gas by means of a rotary ball having a bore. By rotating the ball a quarter turn (90 degrees) around its axis, the medium can flow through or is blocked. Compared to other types of valves, ball valves are simple and require less maintenance. Because the ball valve stem rotates...

Mejorable la representación de las cargas para ver como afectan las mismas tanto a los aros exterior/interior + bolas

Handle should be rotated 90° relative to the ball. When the handle is perpendicular to the pipe, the valve should be closed.

Actually Flatness is checked wrong, part needs to be on three points above the surface plate, (like gauge or 1-2-3 blocks) otherwise you are checking parallelism to the surface plate because you are fully resting the part on the surface plate. See the GD& T Y14.5-2018 specifications for proper setup of flatness. I usually test this on the underside first with a dial test indicator and then the top to check both surfaces for flatness in my metrology lab. Several mistakes here, including measuring perpendicularity, dial indicator has to be 90 degrees to the part, no angles allowed otherwise cosine error.

I love the worm and roller steering mechanism with hourglassprinciple .It has terrific torque after the steering wheel rotates from 12 o'clock position to 4 o clock position in other words after 120 degree of rotation. You can feel how easy it is to turn the vehicle after 120 degrees of steering wheel rotation, but at the same time not hard upto 120 degrees but just okay, this gives you better control at high speeds and when you drive straight.it would have been great if all the links had grease cup with nipple to grease it. I love it more than the rack and pinion and even more than the recirculating ball bearing. Loved your informative video please work towards reintroducing them in the automobile industry.

the guy who created the animation actually doesn´t know how balls are inserted in a bearing, you install balls first, and then the cage, but on the video balls are inserted with cage already installed

I've seen this a few times before and it is not superficially obvious why the curved slope wins. From an energy perspective, initially both balls have kinetic energy = 0 and potential energy P. Then at the bottom, they both have potential energy P-x, whilst one ball has kinetic energy K and the other has kinetic energy K+y. They have both "consumed" the same amount of potential energy, but one has gained more kinetic energy than the other. So where did the missing energy on the slower ball go? This is not obvious. I can only theorize that perhaps it is rotating at a greater rate? That does not seem obvious, or even intuitive. But if not that, where else? Heat? Is the slower ball warmer? This is indeed a puzzle.

So there is a sweet spot. The extreme curve did not win the race but the middle curve did. The ball with the extreme curve starts much faster but the sudden change of direction wastes to much energy
