I don’t own the original millesime anymore. I do have a clone of it but I also don’t own Drifter anymore either so that’s out the window. Also there’s a possibility that not many have smelled Millesime and vice versa. There are snobs who won’t touch a designer or low end fragrance and many who don’t want to spend a lot of money wont buy Creed.

@thefragrantlife14 I like and have had or have both cheapies and high end I like the house of creed put the armafs do a good job of cloning lately I've been on a rack store binge u can find some good stuff

@ Yea I agree with that. The quality of clones have come a long way. Personally I’m over all the blind buying and having tons of bottles that l never be able to use all of. If I do buy something now it’s with a purpose and I’ll have to love it not just because it smells good.

I personally wouldn’t give it 95% of the game because there are tons of fragrances I’ve owned that I didn’t like the dry down but I loved the opening and sometimes the mid. Depending on the fragrance for me especially these days many of them are repeat offenders meaning too many of them smell the same or are just carbon copies of an original or something else that’s popular. But I was a huge fan of Ralph’s Club though. I don’t own it anymore since I downsized my collection.

Yea I had that one also but to me it gave off vibes of silver mountain water from creed. I don’t have any banana republic fragrances anymore. I’ve downsized my collection to a more manageable amount. I still have a few more to let go of but I’m actually at a good point now.

@thefragrantlife14 - ahh? Haven't smelt silver mountain, will check it out. I am just starting to collect frags and bought this one on impulse. I'm still in discovery mode, but I'm 💯 sure this one won't stay in my collection.

@ Word of advice, before you get too deep into buying bottles, do yourself a favor if you already haven’t but get yourself some decants if possible. I wish I had learned this before buying so many bottles. The old ones get forgotten for the new ones and you won’t truly be able to understand and enjoy the ones you already have. It’s so easy to get caught up in the allure and the dopamine hit but it will bite you in the end.

@ I’m going to leave you a few links to some decanting sites I’ve used in the past and they’re affordable. I never used them for designer fragrances though, only niche. You just gave me an idea for my next video. Thank you

@@RodT87 Yea I’m almost where I want to be. That was a bad investment to be honest. Yea I made some money back by selling but not as much as I paid. Yes a lot of it helped when my daughter was shot a few years back also. I started selling then and just decided to keep going until I got to a more manageable amount. I have tons of decants I need to be testing and using and making more educated and practical purchases. Use one and then replace it with the same one or something new. Plus decants can last a while also and not sit around as long as a full bottle will.

@@nappsandnurture I’ve had several of the original ones and I like them a lot. The ACQUA di Gio and the Armani code one didn’t impress me much but the Sutton place and Delina did the damn thang

I get it and I understand that not everyone is going to smell the same notes. I also understand that our bottles could be different batches and yours could be weaker or just plain different than mine. I will however say though that my bottle after having it a couple of years didn’t smell as good as it did when I first got it.

@@thefragrantlife14 yeah. I did try a couple other. Fresh boss, l’homme riche, clean musk, excursion. To me clean musk was killer. Only 4 notes but man it smelled so good to me.

@@Yo-broski Agreed but to me personally it’s not enough of a difference to own both. Just my personal observation. I’ve owned Sauvage also for the price this one suits me more but I don’t own either of them anymore. I’ve sold off a ton of my collection since.

@@Ceko Yes they turned out to be. I had them authenticated but I’ve sold them since this video along with a large portion of my collection.

@@Tripokaridos22 They actually do sell this particular brand in those style boxes. Not sure if they still do but they’re on the Xerjoff website. And if they do come with something else inside maybe the seller didn’t put them back in there. I never made an updated video but I did have them authenticated and they were real.

What had me thinking they were fake were the indicators I mentioned in the video but Xerjoff does sell them in those boxes with those plastic inserts and in most cases over time the caps won’t click into place because of wear on them.

@@void________ I do. Even though these turned out to actually be authentic I’ve learned to check all the boxes first. The seemed suspect because of the plastic inserts that were torn up and worn out and the caps didn’t click into place anymore. Xerjoff does or did actually sell fragrances in those boxes and the wear and tare of taking the caps off and on will wear down the neck of the atomizer to where the caps won’t snap on anymore. It all worked out in the end.

@@void________ I did keep them for a while but then my oldest daughter was shot in the back and I sold off a ton of my collection to help her while she was in the hospital. That was a few years back now.

Honestly it’s been so long ago since I’ve owned or smelled any of the playboy fragrances I can’t remember.

@@MisterMikeReal Yea I didn’t own any credit cards at the time but they were authenticated. Xerjoff at one time did sell products in those exact same boxes and still do if I’m not mistaken. But yea I did have them authenticated.

Plus Mercari gives you the option to add insurance to your purchases and they give you time to see if you like and want the item also to authenticate any items purchased before closing out the transaction. Once I authenticated the items I ended up selling off a lot of my collection afterwards.

That’s not with just Xerjoff that’s for creed products also but they turned out to be authentic. What was suspicious to me was the plastic inserts that were torn up and worn out and the caps didn’t click into place but Xerjoff does sell fragrances in those boxes with those same plastic inserts and caps do tend to wear out over time. I had to learn back then to check off all the boxes before buying and Mercari gives you up to three days to authenticate upon receiving before you rate the seller for payment.
