Interesting method must try it for myself next season. What gram are the small spoons?
Just under a gram, feels like casting a weighted fly.

Why not just use a normal lure rod ?
The micro spoons weigh less than a gram and would not cast on a spinning rod, they are designed to be used on a fly rod. So carry one rod and fish with flies or micro spoons and the trout go daft for action on these small spoons.
What kind of spoons are they? Where can I get a couple?

yes after rain and a rise of about 10 inches, and a medium colour in the water.
When the water is high tie on a size 6 Kamasan B175 hook, use a 3.8 or 4mm bead, it is simple white rubberlegs tied on with a 6.0 green thread for the body, if the water is low go smaller.
