He holds the Rangers record for league and European goals. He was the first Scottish player to win the Golden Boot, then promptly retained it, and he was the club’s leading scorer in nine of his 15 seasons. Alistair ''Ally'' McCoist scored no fewer than 28 hat-tricks for Rangers. His highest number of hat-tricks in a season was five which he achieved twice. His best individual haul in a match w...

JAN MØLBY - Liverpool legend
มุมมอง 6K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Jan Molby, former Danish international, notably spent twelve years playing in England for Liverpool. Mølby established himself as a regular and successful penalty taker, as he only failed to score three times from the penalty spot. He also scored a hat-trick of penalties at Anfield against Coventry City. While at Liverpool, he scored a total of 62 goals, 42 of which were from penalties. On a nu...
MATT ELLIOTT - Leicester City hero
มุมมอง 1.5K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Word 'legend' is used far too easily these days, but when it comes to Matty Elliott, he's even more than that. Defensively strong, a threat to an opponent's goal and loyalty - these are merits that describes perfectly what he means to Leicester. Elliott scored many vital goals for City, including two decision headers in League cup final 2000 against Tranmere Rovers. Like, comment and subscribe ...
JOHN ROBERTSON - Nottingham Forest greatest ever
มุมมอง 34K7 ปีที่แล้ว
John Robertson was voted No.1 Nottingham Forest player of all time, forcing Stuart Pearce into second place, in a 2005 poll run by fans. He also retained this position in 2015 in a poll to celebrate Forest's 150th anniversary. Although he was an infrequent member of the first team as a midfielder up to 1975, and was on the transfer list when Brian Clough became manager, Robertson became a key p...

CHRIS SUTTON - Blackburn Rovers hero
มุมมอง 13K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Sutton became the most expensive player in English football in July 1994, when he was transferred from Norwich City to Blackburn Rovers for £5 million. In his first season at Ewood Park, he developed a strong partnership with Alan Shearer (who scored 34 times that season) and scored 15 Premier League goals to help secure the club's first league title since 1914. Although the partnership only re...
LEE DIXON - Arsenal legend
มุมมอง 27K7 ปีที่แล้ว
A little tribute video to the former Arsenal's player and probably the greatest right back in clubs history. Lee Dixon's tenure in north London lasted a hugely impressive 15 years, encapsulating 619 appearances - leaving him fourth in the all-time list - until his retirement in 2002. He scored some funny own goals included into video, but that's nothing compared to his amazing goals and crosses...

There wasn't much to his game really. He had that all important burst of speed and he did the simple things well. He's a class below someone like Arjen Robben.

Being inducted into the hall of fame was the least Robbo deserved. I was only young about 7 watching the team back then and thought he was awesome my favourite player until Stuart Pearce came on the scene anyway. But Robbo was one of those players who had an incline of where every teamate was on the pitch. Could find a teamate with a cross everytime. An amazing skill. Would be worth tens of millions now 🔴🌳

Full of himself and picked his victims with nasty, cowardly tactics!! Gets glorified by others ( and himself! ) as a hard man, but whenever he came up against an opponent he couldn’t intimidate, either ended up on his arse or ran for his life! Doug Rougvie laid him flat out without hesitation!

One of the best in an era of scorers who were just damn good at finding a way to put the ball away - Linekar for England, Ian Rush for Wales, McCoist for Scotland. Two decent feet, enough pace to get where they needed, natural reading of the game, hunger to get to the ball first and an uncanny ability to stick the ball away from the keepers' hands and within the sticks.

One of the most underrated English players of all time. What if his shot against Germany went in and not against the post. My favorite play was him running back over the full length of the pitch to stop Argentina from scoring after Sol Campbell England goal was disallowed.

One of the most underrated English players and one of my favorite Spurs player of all time. I will always wonder, what if his shot against Germany in 1996 Euro went in instead of hitting the post. 1998 against Argentina Anderton covered more 90% of the soccer pitch to race back and slide tackle that surely saved a goal scoring opportunity for Argentina. Just a classy guy that put in the work, gave 110%, wore Spurs and England with pride and was a total professional.

Great bloke! He lived opposite us in The Spires, Boley Park Lichfield. He lived at no 10 which Barratt Homes bought for him for his 21st Birthday! He'd occasionally have a kick about with us on the green which we all shared outside our houses when I was a kid! His mrs had a right temper on her though . . . I'll say no more! 😮

To me, Robertson was similar to Beckham - he did what he did - not with great pace - but by speed of thought and an ability to manipulate the ball. Unlike Beckham, he was one of the best two-footed players since George Best.....this is a man who could score free kicks from 20 yards with BOTH feet ! He'd be a £100m player in today's market.

Truly brilliant. I remember him coming on to the pitch for the usual warm up routines back in the 70's and he was wearing a monkey face mask. All of the Trent End immediately began their usual greeting chant of ' Robbo, Robbo,Robbo....he took it off revealing a huge smile . What a star .

Have yet to find a clip on youtube showing Robertson the way I remember him from countless scandinavian "tipsextra's", saturday English football matches on TV at the time, advancing on the same side as the camera, a rear view of him, lazily kinda dragging the ball with him, almost behind him, with the same foot towards the opponent. Then normally bip bop boom a quick dribble and he´s past the guy and ready to send the ball to whoever at the opponent goal... I´ll take his cool dribbles any day before any Ronaldinho or Zlatans ones...

I took my son over to meet him and my son asked him what it was like playing with Zico meaning Zola and he laughed and told us a few stories and had his photo taken with us. True legend and very underrated player. The midfielder that most hard men have said they hated playing against. He scored a f##king great goal at the San Siro ❤❤❤
