I booked a villa in Spain a few months ago. We fly out next week. Yesterday I got an email directly from the host (not via air b and b) and a PayPal request for a £250 damage deposit. I had no recollection of this so checked the listing and there’s no mention of it. I called air b and b who said hosts aren’t allowed to charge guests any off site fees. Should I contact the host and ask why they’ve done this? Should I be concerned?

Don't you think AirBnB will find out you changed all the details which is the same as transferring the account and then block that account ?

What about the bank details for payments? Can I change that as well? And what if the new owner is from France and I'm from UK? Does that make a difference?

Hello, I am a guest, not a host. I booked a house for 8 nights the first part of July using the app. I did not see instant book, but clicked "RESERVE" and it is now confirmed with first payment and reservation number. The host messaged that he's waiting to hear back from a previous inquiry who is interested in the house for the entire month but never reserved it. He wrote that the other people "will make a final decision by this Tuesday and if they back out the place is mine." Can a host do this, cancel my reservation for such a reason? Thank You

Hello, great videos! I am new on Airbnb, and I had problems when my Airbnb calendar blocks Booking calendar on a current day. I assume it was due to setting Airbnb options for reservations on the same day, where the advance notice was set to "same day", but it was set at 9:00 AM for the deadline for reservation. I assume that this will not appear when I change the deadline for later hours. Did anyone have similar issue? Thanks :)

can a 18 year old person book property for under age person ?

This is helpful but I didn't find the answer to the following so I'd appreciate very much if you could shed some light to a newbie please: I've blocked my calendar for the season (few months in advance) so noone can book it until I set up prices etc. Now when I want to unblock only part of the blocked dates I can't do it because I automatically delete the whole block (whole season). Is there a way to unblock only part of the blocked dates?

VRBO is trash. Don't book with them. We arrived at our booking which had an ant infestation in the kitchen, unchanged sheets and was overall filthy. We called the VRBO agent and were assured we could get a refund so we left and rebooked at a hotel because no one felt comfortable staying at the property. Now we are being stonewalled. NEVER AGAIN VRBO.

I listed on VRBO last year..had a terrible group... they booked as 4 and showed up with 5 people then grew to 6 people..my civil liability insurance is capped at the maximum number of guests which is 4..the guests were terrible..damaged the built in BBQ and left the bbq area soaked in grease bricks black from them burning sticks and alike from the forest.. kids were jumping the front wall leaving black footprints on the newly painted white wall.VRBO support was no help whatsoever..I had to confront the guests which led to a terrible review filled with lies..in spite of this I kept my listing up but because the review was so terrible I did not receive anymore requests..full this summer and last summer using other platforms..nunca to VRBO for me!..

i have a two floor building with 2 separate studios on each floor, how should i list all four in airbnb , cause in booking you just add on the amount of rooms of this type and simply edit it and put 4 but i didnt find such thing in airbnb , should i create 4 listings or is there any options to do like in booking com cause i didnt find one yet, thanks
