Reg Alpe di Siusi, The parking P2 Compatsch is open at 06:00 AM in the morning, then from the parking you have 1 hour walk, means you can not be there before 7:00 AM, how you can photography at sunset ? only on months of December and January sunset is after 07:am but there is snow there ?
Hi, I was able to park at the P2 car park before 6am (before the parking attendant arrives) and then I paid the parking fees when I returned after sunrise. It looks like there’s now an automated system (barrier) which I’m sure you can do the same. To photograph sunset, i think you’ll have to spend the day there as the mountain road has restrictions
@@olliewatts Now the P2 is opened only at 06:00 am
@@davidguedj4489ah, I’m not sure on the process now - it might be a case of parking at P1 with the extra walk which is annoying. Maybe there’s an option of parking sensibly and paying when you return - but you may get a parking ticket. Next time I visit, I may look into hiring a bike.
Thank you for sharing your tips. Traveling next year in August with my wife and daughter and really excited to experience the raw beauty of Namibia. I plan to take my drone..do you mind sharing the coordinates you used to for your application?
For the application, from memory was - Mesosaurus Fossil Camp area, Wêreldend Camping area, Spitzkoppe area and a few gravel road sections - I just got the coordinates using the pin drop tool on Google maps. For that part of the application, I think they are just checking it's not close to an airport or in a national park. Hope that helps and hope you have a great trip!
Thank you very much
Thanks for the video! Going next week - though ive heard mixed reports about tourist taking photos, locals can be stand offish - so I may only take the iPhone rather than my dslr? Any thoughts?
Sounds sensible, I can’t really comment on portrait photography but I can imagine locals around Jemaa el-Fnaa being willing (for a price maybe 😅)
Namibia is breathtaking! Great video once again! 💯
You got some lovely footage there.
Great photos! Enjoyed the video a lot 👌🏻
Such stunning views! You’ve really captured the essence of these places. Thanks for sharing such an amazing content! 👍12
Hi mate - fantastic video, really enjoyable watch. I'm relatively new to photography and currently rocking a pretty lightweight Ricoh GR3 setup. Out of interest, what camera and lens combo do you use? Landscapes are want interest most and looking to delve more into this area of photography. Cheers!
Hi, many thanks 🙂 I have a Sony A7R3 and use three lenses - wide angle (16-35mm), mid range zoom (24-105mm) and a telephoto (100-400mm). Of course, lens I use is very dependent on the subject / location (on the Namibia trip I mainly used the wide angle and telephoto lens). Personally, I found the wide angle lens enabled me to improve my photography the most and telephoto lens enabled me to capture more unique and abstract shots. Hope that helps and all the best!
@@olliewatts Excellent - really useful to know. Looking at picking up an interchangeable lens camera and a few lens down the line, the Ricoh is great but only really for street. Thanks for insight bud and all best!
Namibia is probably the closest landscape we have on earth that may be comparable to how Mars looks, lol. Namibia is a natural wonder, and I highly recommend a visit. I would definitely return.
Great video and beautiful images, such a magical landscape
Amazing video! I saw a lot of negative reviews of the Quiver Tree Forest Rest camp online. How was your experience?
The facilities were fairly good, nice and clean but probably a bit expensive for what it is. I had to pay extra to enter the forest for astrophotography as well which was a bit annoying. We much preferred the Mesosaurus Fossil Camp (only 15 minutes further up the road) which was much more scenic with a larger area to explore. The owners have also invested in creating new ablution facilities so I suspect more people will go there instead. Hope that helps 🙂
@@olliewatts Thanks for sharing! I appreciate the heads-up, It really helps in planning the best experience - thanks again! 🙏
From where did you rent a glass kayak? How much did it cost?
Hi, we hired from Crystal Water Kayaks (located as you approach Anse Source d'Argent) and I think we paid about €35 per person for the full tour - hope that helps 🙂
Amazing video
Amazing - on my bucket list
Beautiful landscape
Stunning visuals! The landscapes are so beautifully shot. Can’t wait to see more! 👍1
Madre mía qué pasada ,me encanta Manu!!❤
Beautiful footage and photos. We're visiting for the first time from Oregon, USA, in 2025. Your video has us quite excited about what we will see.
Seychelles here I come. See you on Thursday, October 31 2024. Happy Halloween.
How many nights should I stay on La Digue?
We stayed 5 nights which was perfect, I would say a minimum of 4 nights to fully relax and enjoy the island. It was our favourite island from the trip 🙂
Great Video: We Arrive Apr 25th and leave May 7th Staying Platte island Apr 30-May 5 Need to break up the rest of the time between Mahe and La Digue. 5 nights in La Digue is not too long in your opinion?
@@Doriginal5 hey=) last time we stayed for 5 nights...we plan to come back next year for more (8 nights) to really relax and visit some beaches twice. in my opinion 5 nights is not too long, even though it is a small island
❤❤
Great video! Which time did you go there exactly? 😊
Many thanks - 3rd week in October 🙂
Wow!! Another great video. Fantastic views. Thanks for sharing. sub & 👍13

Many thanks, we went in the last week in March and the first week of April

Hi , Thanks for your video, I am leaving on my adventure to Morocco very soon . I am a keen photographer and I noticed you used a long lens for the dunes ? What focal length did you use the most ? Chris
Hi, in the dunes I pretty much exclusively used a 100-400 lens. I didn’t want to change lenses out in the dunes in case of sand getting into the camera / inside of the lens. Hope that helps - hope you have a nice trip 🙂
@@olliewatts thank you , sadly I won’t be taking my long lens , coming from Australia it’s a bit heavy . I hope to get some great photos with what I am taking . Cheers
A nice set of vlogs and images of Morocco Ollie 🤙🏻
Amazing little series, thanks for sharing~ 👍Definitely gonna use this as an inspiration if I ever get to Ireland myself.
Hi, Ollie, so glad I found your channel. Great photographies 😍 Can you please share the tour you joined? I don't know how many days of trip I should do in October. I'd love to hear from you. 🙏
Hi, many thanks 🙂 it wasn’t a tour as such but rather a desert camp - this is where we booked it ( main camp ) - www.desertcampmorocco.com - we stayed for two nights which was a good amount of time but I would suggest to find accommodation reasonably close to Mhamid (where they pick you up and drop off) either side of the camp to avoid a long drive. Hope that helps 🙂
@@olliewatts thanks heaps! Really appreciate your reply 🙏
Great video - has got me excited for my trip next month! By the way, the word Anse means cove and it's pronounced like "ponce" without the "p".
Absolutely stunning drone footage, and photography. Donegal is a beautiful place, you should try down around Carrickfinn if you're ever there again.
small remark: even its written "Oia" the "O" is not spoken; therefore you pronounce it like "eea" (when using an English pronounciation)
a great video. I'm going to Seiser Alm this September (I have been there already a lot of times and I always try do do other spots than the well known ones) and your drone footage from Seiser Alm perfectly confirmed my planned shooting location as a good idea.
That lightning in the background at 6:08 is stunning!
What drone are you using, model & type?
Hi, I’m using the DJI Air 2S
❤
you made incredible masterpiece,;)
Great video!! Thanks for your tips ☺️
hi, the "Ç" it is pronounced like an "s" or a "z" depending of how you do it adn there is no "i" sound, by the way, no, sadly it is not possible to walk all the way to the very end tip, beacuse it is divided in a couple of places by the sea. Pico do ariero is the 3dr highest peak in madeira, its like 1800 mts, not that much compared to other places.
Informative video beautifully captured. Can I drive all the way from tromso to lofoten by car in winter? How long it takes?
Hi, many thanks - I believe it’s fine in the winter on the main roads. I’m not sure about the ferry schedule in the winter, which may affect your route (the ferry we took was available only in the summer). The Norwegian roads are very well maintained and I imagine the rental car will be fully prepared. Hope that helps
@@olliewatts thanks for your reply. But is it necessary to take ferry? Can’t I drive all the way to and fro between tromso and lofoten
@@barnalibhattacharjee5640 no you don’t need to take the ferry, there’s a more direct route available between Tromso and the islands
🤍 I've always loved sunrises, you capture them beautifully!
Hi. I enjoyed your video and photos. Thank you for sharing. CanI ask please - the final hike you described from Zannes/Zan - which hiking trail did you take?
Hi, I can’t remember the number/name of the trail but i headed out on the road leading to a place on google maps called Kaserill Alm and then I headed back to the car park via a more direct route - rough coordinates of the location I was: (46.6330787, 11.7822626) - hope that helps, the signage when you’re there is pretty good. A beautiful location 🙂
Love from Norway 🇳🇴
1:32 you managed to catch the most anticipated guy on there. The lamplighter appears every morning and at dusk to manually light 99 gas lanterns. Wrocław is one of the last cities in Europe that maintains this tradition. You got some seriously good eye with that footage. Good job! What I would say feels missing is Centennial Hall, it would look wonderful with its multimedia fountain with the drone footage.
