Looks very peaceful
After 10 vids that didn't show how to actually do it, I found this gem. Thank you both!!
Glad you found it helpful.
Sadly John Prados is no longer with us. I do enjoy the column that he wrote in Against the Odds Magazine. I have his game published by that Magazine called Beyond Waterloo, which simulates different outcomes of that campaign.
I have heard of hells half acre before..but never understood what it was or meant ...thanks for explaining it...and of course for Sharing the Gospel.
Do the same in the other side! Just to see how’s go.
A3R Advanced Third Reich was and remains the pinnacle of grand strategy WW2. I think Rising Sun likely was ok on it's own. But I didn't care for them being blended. I don't have Prados release mainly as it is massively expensive and I already have A3R and prefer it. Those with no past with A3R likely would find nothing wrong with Prados version.
Great work man! Keep it up!
nice building! rented a space there once
I thought this was a good update to A3R.
I've got this game on the table right now! Working my way through the grand campaign, starting in 1939 and going to the end. This is my favourite WW2 ETO game for "What If" scenarios. Just wait till you start using the event counters in the bigger scenarios, they are terrific! A lot of people seem to praise the 3rd Edition fan rulebook that you can download for free online, but for my money the 1st Edition rulebook that you have is the best version of the game. Like you said, just use common sense if a question comes up, the rules play just fine and have no major issues whatsoever.
Looks fun!
Very nice, I'm enjoying your take on the Celtic Tunes for the Recorder. Would it be possible to add all the videos to one reproduction list? Looking forward to the next one 😊
Nice
Yes! Panzer Bush!
Did this today. From the time I watched your video until the bulb was purchased and installed was less than half an hour. Thanks a lot!
Hey thanks Raymond for this nicely done After Action Report. I really appreciate your efforts !!
I've had this game for about a decade now and never played it, appreciate you doing this! So many unsung heroes second world war, both sides.
thank you for bringing back great memories
Sir you're overblowing. You need to use the proper amount of breath pressure on every note.
And then at other points you're underblowing.
My favorite game. I still have mine and I’m 61
LOL
Just stumbled on this video. I played this game in the late 60s to mid 70s. I actually pulled this game off the shelf last month. The pieces were still in the original sandwich baggies that had the flap you popped over your sandwich and then folded the other flap back over it.. that process was suppose to keep your sandwich fresh till lunch. Well guess what. The bags were still intact and the pieces are in nearly mint shape. Loved that game. Ah, the memories.
Very nice. Interesting instrument for Bach! It’s nice to see your book room!
Glad you like it!
Just pop it off, but can’t see how it’s done.
Very cool
Did this today. It took me less than 5 minutes. Thank you!
Thank you for playing songs from this book so I know if I'm playing it right, and its fun to play along!
I've got the same book and playing along with you. What a beautiful melody!
This is not the approved way to change the lightbulb. The headlight assembly actually comes out from the grill so that you can work on it easily.
My dad has the screen from when he was a kid and I love it. It’s the pinnacle Frontline warfare and all war a board game should be designed this way in my view. Every time I played this game I have beat in my dad despite the fact he has played it more than I have. Either she is really bad or I am really good or some combination.
I live in Mineral Wells, Tx. My mom told me she worked at the soda fountain the on the 2nd floor. Mom was born in 1928. 9-27-2023
I came for the music in "Celtic Tunes for Recorder" and found this pleasant surprise on your channel. You tell it true, Raymond. When Jesus saves you, the Holy Spirit changes you to repent and disavow your sins. It is an amazing thing to feel yourself change from loving your sin to turning away from it as he leads you to freedom in Jesus. He guides you along that narrow road to salvation based on faith in Jesus' gift when he died for our sins on the cross. God forgives you and covers you with his grace. Jesus' blood, shed for us, cleanses our sin and God only sees the reflected glory of Christ in us as we're counted as worthy to come before him in Heaven. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." No one comes to the Father except through the salvation of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Thanks
Thanks
Really lovely. You play the recorder so smoothly. The sound flows.
Love the way you play this.
I really enjoyed hearing the way this song should sound which was lovely with the guitar.
Overall nicely done :)
righty tighty left loosy
Nice game play video. The AH wargames are a real treat to see again. Like many, I have fond memories of PL, PB Russian Campaign and others. Cheers!
Прекрасная мелодия! 👍
P.S. I used to be a dedicated OGRE and GEV gamer in the 80s, we used to play those two games like mad all the time. I was a big fan of minigames as well. Some used to come in a ziplock bag, etc. Easy to set up and play anywhere, fast. Also ILLUMINATI.
Some of the games I see these days at Barnes and Noble are just plain LAME. Who wants to really play "WWII in 30 min." or whatever? Not me. Axis and Allies at least are good games, but they often take a lot of people to play and setup time is absurd. All of these AH games were fantastic years ago. Squad Leader is a great one too, and the Cross Of Iron addition was great too. I once owned War At Sea which was a pretty good game. I notice these days there are better WWII sim. games coming out by any companies besides anything mainstream. Some great Battle of the Bulge games and such but you won't find them in stores. Same with RPG, just buy them online cause the stores usually suck now. Then again it's hard to find dedicated hobby and gaming stores nowadays. I don't have any gaming pals anymore, alas. I did back in the 80s. I bought Star Wars XWING but again, don't know anybody that's into it.
There are some interesting new war games availability through internet sellers.
@@raymondgruben1745 I saw there are even like 5 games alone dedicated to the Scots Rebellion campaigns etc.! Good games, too. All tiny indie companies.
Yeah, AH had some good ones, that's where it all started for me, "Richthofen's War" I think was my first 1979.
@@Pozer714 They need to relicense some of the key AH games beyond Axis and Allies (which wasn't even an orig. AH game) and market them out there. Such as Starship Troopers, Panzer Leader, and Squad Leader.
@@thiscorrosion900 I have Starship Troopers but never played it. Good counter art there too.
I don't see the TANK unit in France (late game) - it acts like a Stross and forces German retreats - it could have saved Paris and somepickaxe hexes ! Liked your video and this game !
Being in the helium business, I really enjoyed the work you put into this unknown discovery.
I was surprised to find the plant and that it is unmarked and unknown.
It would have been nice to have said which direction she was turning it
Yes, you are correct!
Just performed this today...can confirm counterclockwise.
Looks like fun. We had AH's Third Reich, back in the day, which was a more sprawling, strategic take on the whole of the European/ North African theaters of war. It was very playable, and kept us engaged, one snowy winter in the mid 1970s. Thanks for the play thru! Took me back to simpler times.
Yes. I have played many a Third Reich game.
Dang, I could never find players for Third Reich. Solitaire was too much work. Up Front was the most played. Panzer Blitz and Panzer Leader are special to me for being my first wargames.
those old version of panzerblitz are the best because the backs of the counters are black and red rather than white
It's not just old people, I'm 23 and I'm planning to play this with my mate this or next week xD I wanted to ask if there are guys who played both the 1965 and the 1975 version and which one you like better
I don’t know the answer to your question. I think mine was the early version.
Thank you. Slow is good for recorders sometimes
