There used to be a two way tram track with many trams going up and down Great Western Road there. How they all fitted in with the cars and buses beats me. Great. Thanks. Rmb5*
Interesting route in good old west coast weather. The bus to and from Helensburgh used to go that way when it was SMT, years ago. Remember it well. Many thanks. Rmb
Ah SMT, that's a blast from the past. I must've done thousands of journeys on SMT Leyland Leopards in my childhood.
Helensburgh still has a bus that goes that way. Takes 2 hrs to get to Glasgow, because it goes into a ton of housing schemes, and other detours on the way, so we only use it if the trains are off !( I live in Helensburgh these days though born and bred in Glasgow) PS I remember SMT as well. Blue buses went out the city to the west, red to Central Scotland, and I think Green ones went out to the other side of the City. You were only allowed on them if your destination was outwith the city boundaries, if not you were supposed to use the corporation buses ! ( All privitised now and a much reduced service )
Grand photography. The many docks and warehouses of 70 years ago have changed to commercial sales points and light industrial units. Cleaner but much changed. Thanks again. Keep them coming. They are a superb record of the effects of the passage of time. Maybe Glasgow’s independence becoming dependence. Rmb4*

I agree, those speed bumps are a bit much.
I was brought up in Renfrew till I was 37 then moved to Bathgate haven't been back since was nice to see it again
