A little excitement was had. I'm glad you weren't in Helper when that huge hail was coming down. I have been following you for a while but I don't recall you saying much about having a fear of heights. I have that myself in some situations. When I'm watching TH-cam videos where the person is filming with a drone, if they go over a cliff, I feel myself pulling back cause it feels like I'm going over the edge. Sickening feeling. I'll bet you can relate. Hope your Dad is doing fine and your neighbor is on his best behavior. That guy needs the Lord. Hope he finds him, sooner rather than later. Take care, Chuck. Wow, Chuck. That's amazing. It's hard not to go look at the carnage after a storm like that but it is a little dangerous. It was so wild how you were right there when that area began to flood. I got worried for you. What a mess that storm made. The train tracks looked like they would have been impassible. Those hailstones were huge.

Just spent 4 hours on a dangerous highway dealing with this. Had to drive on my rim 4 miles to a rest stop. It's still there. I guess I have to go back with a hammer

Man was it windy on the 6th. I was at this location before heading to Wendover and climbing the Wendover Viewpoint which is about 230m higher than the track elevation just south of it. The vantage point was terrific as I was able to film Bog Boy for almost 25 minutes, but the wind was insane. Not only did the wind totally ruin the sound, but it was so bad it produced very obvious jitter in the video even with a top grade tripod. It would have been better to not climb so high, but even at ground level the win was bad. Just one point: the level in this video is way out -- as the train approaches it seems to be going do a really steep hill when in fact it was about 1% uphill. And then, as the train is passing it appears to be climbing a 10% grade when in fact it was closer to 1%. Usually this is down to not leveling the tripod, but I can't say for sure.

That's right across the street from where I was planning to view this -- the water tower hill top. Bu when I looked at it with Google Streets it looked like it's fenced in and I'm not going to risk that. I did climb the peak west of town, but it was WAY TOO WINDY and I would have been better off staying lower. But, from where I was, I was able to film it for almost 25 minutes.
