I met Nils and Carla outside a Chicago show at the Double Door before I was 21. I brought my brothers ID and got denied immediately so I lingered around their bus at the other side of the venue. I nervously talked with both of them. Autographs and pictures. They were both so charming and sweet and cool. A memory I will never forget. So happy to hear new music ❤🤘

This would be the best music video ever made if not for one horrible editing choice. At around 3:50, the choice to remove the great moment of the women excitedly singing "the oaks of auld" again as the guitar and bass emphasise like they are about to have orgasms so hard that the world will shatter into a million pieces is the best of the song. I know that making a music video in any semblance of good video quality is incredibly expensive, but that is the part of the song that says "this is your new favourite band" to the doom metal or Mr. Bungle crowd.

I’m in complete and utter support of the more metal-oriented SGM. Songs like The Stain will always be among my favorites because they’re ambient, angular and technically impressive…but Nils has this incredible voice for metal. He could’ve easily fronted a Slipknot/Opeth/etc type act…he’s got the same amount of “scary” in his voice when it really ramps up.

Beyond happy that they are back. Their concert in Phoenix was fantastic. They are true artists with music that makes you fly.

First saw these guys at nearfest in Jersey when I was in high school. That was the first we’d heard of them but they were a highlight of the show. They were *super* nice to us despite the fact that we were a doofus gaggle of teenagers and we all went out and got GOAC immediately. I was at The Conduit in Florida. I had the red robes and rabbit mask, and watched Faun Fables open the show. I couldn’t stay long enough to see SGM, and I do regret that, but just being around you all and seeing the instruments in person reinvigorated me to pursue music the way I want to. I hope you come play in Florida again, but be safe out there

I have seen SGM live every time they played within 100 miles of me. I even met Nils at a gas station in Oakland, couldn't help but to at least tell him what an impact their music and their shows had on me. I was in the bay area but couldn't attend their last shows because of law school finals, and it seriously bothered me. SO glad I have another album to savor. THANK YOU!
