Primal RC Raminator - Part 1 What comes in the Conversion Kit
มุมมอง 5082 ปีที่แล้ว
Part 1 of a 4 part series which explains what makes up the components to the Johnny Crash Racing Primal RC Raminator MGM & Lehner Electric Conversion Kit www.johnnycrashracing.com.au www.primalrc.com www.mgmcontrollers.com
The O Rings that come with this kit are too thick and roll out of the groove when you are trying to insert the motor into the tail support ring. Either the groove needs to be wider to accommodate the larger dia o ring or the o-ring diameter needs to be smaller. I have lubed the rings, spread the retainer open and it is still a struggle to get everything clocked right as the grooves on the motor are very sharp and will no allow rotation without the motor moving in or out. Any ides?
I want to purchase this set up as well is High voltage RC a distributor for your products?
I bought my JCR kit from high voltage RC.
@johnnycrashracinglsrc9817 I've been trying to purchase this kit but it says oit of stock. When will it be available? Please if you can let me know I wait meantime. Thank you
Batch will be in progress next week. Should be able to purchase from our distributors end of April, 1st week of May
Damn, u already had the idea!
Can this be done without cutting chassis?
Yes it can. You do not have to cut the chassis for this motor combo. I currently have it set up in my truck.
looking awesome mate great job🏆
how you liking it now that its electric Im thinking about building e version as well. to much noise in my neighborhood for petro
can't wait to see it running !
Im trying to by this conversion kit right now, i also opted to use the same hobbywing motor and esc combo. The website doesn’t offer the hobbywing motor or esc as a choice so i can check out
The option of purchasing the whole conversion kit will up on the site shortly. Kit + Max4 Combo. Or you can purchase the kit alone selecting which motor and esc in the drop down selection menu.
Awesome 💯 now just need to find out who sells the go cart wheels. Thanks for posting 👍
Also , on your website , I noticed that you have the 8mm and the 10mm shaft selection. What would be the best to pick? Seeing as , this truck is so heavy. also there is only one esc to choose from and then it says other. I really hope that there will be a test run on other motors and ESC that can be used so that i could get something more local and something that I know more about. Thanks!
The issue is specific to the Lehner 3080 8mm shaft but if we had the option we would go for the 10mm even though our design supports the shaft instead of your traditional brushless mount which only supports the body and face of the motor. The ESC mount was initially designed for the MGM as the customer (RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7) requested this system specifically, during the design process we also incorporated an optional mount suited to the FLIER 400A ESC. As we haven’t fitted the system and tested it we hadn’t officially offered it as a system until testing was complete…we are still in the fitment stage atm
Love the design and great video. I was just a little concerned of having to cut the frame. I do hope to see a test run on the truck. I do have a couple questions though. #1. Will you guys be testing other combo sets like Castle , Spektrum , T.P. , or any of the most known products? #2 I noticed you use cotter pins that hold battery tray , will i have to loosen frame every time to pull out the tray? Reason I ask , would be great to not have to pull lipo to charge , could just pull the whole tray but if I had to loosen frame all the time. That would kinda suck but can be done.
Hello, sorry for the late response. To answer your questions…Yes, we are in the final stages of producing an adapter to suit the Leopard 58113 motor and Flier ESC, we may in the future look into TP Power motors but they are custom made so the hole pitch and shaft can be made to fit the TP or LP. Battery Tray….Yes, the tray is designed to be removed from the holders so it’s easier to swap out a complete pack to either hot swap with another tray and battery pack
This might be a Dumb question? I hope not....But, how does the "Brakes and Reverse" work now... Can we still use the stock Primal RC Raminator "Brake and Reverse" system with the servos or does the motor do the "Braking and Reverse," now? Not Addressed in any of the 1-4 video series!!!!
Does not affect or alter the stock electronics setup, the signal cable from the ESC to the Receiver is the only change required which would take the place of the Throttle Servo on traditionally the Channel 2 input of the Rx. Please note this conversion kit is exclusive to the MGM & Lehner combination
@@johnnycrashracinglsrc9817 I emailed you asking if since it showed 1 In-Stock will it ship, now or is there still a 12-14 day waiting period plus shipping time? Could you reply here or to the Email, I sent William Hokanson, Thanks!
I noticed , it looked like they had two servos there for the brakes in one of the videos. I wonder how good that works.
@@oldgeezer6470 only 1 servo for the brakes. Front / Rear bias is achieved through the tension adjusters. The other servo is so we can use reverse from the gearbox.
