On our Monday Marketplace today, we are having a casual conversation about the shapes of shawls and how to wear them. Our customers tell us they love making shawls but don’t always know how to wear them. We show several options but that doesn’t mean that you are limited to these. Shawl wearing can be creative, showing off your personality! We start off showing shawls made from Juniper Moon Farm Summer Solstice called Andrea. The pattern also has a crochet version. It can be worn like a poncho with the flower detail on the shoulder or even the back for a unique look. Then we model two rectangle shawls of different widths called Hazel and Keshi. The triangle shaped shawl is called Secret Staircase Shawl made with Wonderland yarn. The asymmetrical shawl called In Bloom Shawl features Dream in Color Smooshy Cashmere kits that we have in the store. Finally, we show a crocheted crescent shaped shawl called Swaye. Stop by the store to see many more shawls of a variety of shapes. We’d love to help you figure out how to wear your masterpiece!

We are excited to share a newer yarn in our store this week on Monday Marketplace. The yarn is Queensland Adelaide, 50% wool, 25% silk, 25% polyamide, 436 yards for $19.98. it´s a lovely little shirt, colour and yarn choice is very pretty just two little things: one, please try to use non-superwash yarn (for all the obvious, well-known reasons) and two, it looks a bit on the small side, did you make your usual size? just for reference. Love your video! I am curious since you made a hat with this yarn I would assume it got wet at some point. This yarn bleeds. Mine did anyway. Do you know how to prevent it from bleeding? Or did I just get some bad luck?
We don’t generally block our hat models so these haven’t gotten wet yet. If I’m worried about yarn bleed I’ll untwist the hank, leave the ties on and soak it. You can add white vinegar to the water to set the color if bleeding is a problem. Kind of a pain but better to fix it before you’ve knit a project. Reds are especially notorious for bleeding.

I love Scheepjes Whirl yarn. I want to make the Crochet Between the Lines shawl. I have a Whirl in mind it's called Blackberry Mint Chip but not sure what other whirl would go with it? Would you ladies have any suggestions? Thank you.
