Keep up the good work. Try buzzing more without the instrument. The better and more accurately you buzz on the mouthpiece (with lots of air) the cleaner your tone will get.

Hey man I’m curious what brand of euphonium is that? I’ve played for a few years and was thinking of upgrading instruments soon but I’m not sure what to buy, any suggestions?
It’s a Yamaha yep-321. Works for my purposes. It’s not compensating and billed as an intermediate horn. Check out Wessex, they seem like great quality and a fraction of the price of a Yamaha.

Just don’t get it dinged too hard. When the nickel plating cracks, it peels off in large sections. I heard this is because they skimp on copper before the nickel.

Great video! Very mello and flowy duet. I'm a trumpet player but I was thinking of trying euphonium sometime. Any tips?
Thanks! Take this with a grain salt, but I just play mine like a big trumpet… same fingerings, same charts… it might take a little while to get used to the bigger mouthpiece and other characteristics of the instrument but otherwise I think it’s an easy transition. Best of luck!
@@stevekurillamusic I did notice while looking up euphonium fingerings that they are very similar to trumpet fingerings. Thanks for the advice!
