Into the Alpine
Recently I took my DJI Mavic 4 Pro into the mountains to explore the places I cannot reach by foot. The quality from this small drone is quite good. And the low weight of it makes it very easy to travel with. This footage follows the water from a river valley up to the source high in the alpine. #dronevideo #djimini4pro #wildlifefilmmaker

How to Pick the Right Trail Camera. #trailcamera #trailcameras #wildlifefilmmaker
มุมมอง 1649 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
There are a lot of different trail cameras on the market. But how do you know which one to choose? I've been using trail cameras for many years and have gone through quite a few of them. Here are some of the important features I consider before making a purchase. Please note: this video is directed for those who use the cameras primarily for video. #trailcams #trailcamvideos
British Columbia Grasslands
มุมมอง 6121 วันที่ผ่านมา
British Columbia is a rugged province. Bordered by the Rocky Mountains to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west, it is a place of a diverse landscape. At almost 950,000 sq km in size, British Columbia is bigger than Germany and France combined. Yet less than 1% of the province is grasslands. Here is a quick aerial look at the grasslands around Merritt - a town in the southern interior of B...
Columbia Ground Squirrel Fights
มุมมอง 6021 วันที่ผ่านมา
Columbia ground squirrels spend most of the life in hibernation. So when the time above ground arrives, there are a lot of things that need to be done - including some play fighting. While there are times when these fights can be serious, in this instance, most appeared to be play. Filmed in British Columbia, Canada. #wildlifefilmmaker #wildlifefilmmaking #wildlifephotography #wildlifedocumentary
81 Seconds with a Family of Sea Otters

Here is a short clip of some family time for a raft of sea otters. The young pup was constantly pestering mom for attention. Sea otters spend a tremendous amount of time making sure their dense fur is in top shape. Footage captured with a Canon R5C. #seaotter #seaotters #wildlifefilmmaker #wildlifefilmmaking #wildlifefilm
Under Northern Skies
มุมมอง 97หลายเดือนก่อน
Recently we had the most incredible display of northern lights. Although I typically focus on wildlife, it was an opportunity I just could not resist. Here is a brief collections of some of the photographs I captured over two days in two very different locations here in British Columbia, Canada. Exposures varied from as little as 6 seconds to several minutes. Gear Used: Canon R5C Canon 24-105mm...
A Brief Time of Plenty #wildlife #wildlifefilmmaking #wildlifephotography
มุมมอง 133หลายเดือนก่อน
Each autumn, thousands of eagles congregate on rivers in southwestern British Columbia. Their goal: To feast on salmon. The following footage was shot handheld at 600mm from a boat - a bit of a challenging feat. I debated doing a bit of a narration over the video but in the end, decided to let the footage speak for itself. It's typically a bit of a challenging decision for me since narration ca...

Great stuff Henrik! I love it.
Thanks pal. Thinking about our next adventure. Hmmmm. Ever heard of this place called Yellowstone?
Great info! Cool channel You got my sub.
I appreciate that. Thank you.
what a beautiful landscape, great footage!
Many thanks Harry. It’s a valley I’ve been going for years and I’m still finding new places. Gotta love nature.
Nature is so Beautiful! My Goodness!
It really is! Magical even.
Came across a grumpy old bear! Thank goodness for Bear Spray!!! Worked like a charm….
Best comment ever. Feel fine today. Next time, remember, safety first. 😂
All fabulous tips, thanks Henrik. A few boops are always good!
Always...although I could do without the slobber on the lens. ;-)
Nice video! Which cameras do you use? They have good video quality!
Thanks Nicola. I have a bunch of different ones. But basically I look for ones with the Sony IMX458 sensor. It seems to be the best one (sensor) I've tried so far.
Henrik, thanks for the information. I do have a question. I've been using the hybrid mode capturing one still and then the video. Do you set only for video?
I only set mine for video BUT that’s just a personal preference. Hybrid mode is a good way to do it too. 😊👍
Where are all the subscribers? I still can't believe everyone has not found your great channel. Well, coming soon we all hope!
I’m going with the “build it and they will come” strategy. 😊😂😊🙏

Trail cameras are so fun to watch. A lot of great footage Henrik! Thanks for compiling all this! So nice too, that you give all the good camera tips! 📷 🐻 🦅🦌🐺 🐺
They really are. Retrieving the memory cards is a bit like a birthday as a kid. You never know what might be on there. 😊
Although I don't want to go there, this is a beautiful summary.
Thanks Rolf. You might recognize the three bears at the lake. ;-)
Awesome information Thanks for sharing
My pleasure. Appreciate you stopping by.
Thanks, I will be referring back to this video in the future.
I appreciate that. Thank you.
Very nice! Looks like the bears and eagles are enjoying the run. I'm a fan of no glow because it's no fun to see the animals run away as soon as they see the IR. I do like the full size SD cards but either way, I put a small loop of scotch tape on the end for easier grabbing to pull the card out. I use a separate solar panel as haven't been too impressed with the cams that have built in solar. Video length 30 sec. Detection delay 00 sec. PIR medium ....
Thanks for watching! I’m with you the no glow. Good advice re the Scotch tape. Noted on the solar.
Sure you've seen dramatic stuff out there - and that you've spared us. (Tho there are those who dig that very scene.) Hell, I've cried seeing giraffes fight. 😆
Its true. There are times where I've been close to tears witnessing nature take its course.
That chatter back... such language. 🌿🦅🌲💦 (At least we don't pity the one who was robbed. Plenty where that came from.) Most beautiful forest, too.
If only we knew what was said - although I think we have a good idea. ;-)
The challenges are always the fun part, the joy is watching such beautiful animals in their own habitat. Excellent footage Henrik. Vince and I are going to come and hang out (no pun intended) with you one day! 😇
I shall start preparing myself now. ;-)
Stunning work Henrik, it's so surreal to experience the aurora.
It truly is. Can't wait for the next show.
Cuuuuuteness!!! Amazing work Henrik.
Thank you Karen. Sure was fun to watch them interact. ;-)
Also following Teton Raptor Center - had no idea how huge Golden Eagles get. Hope they're all protected. Your footage is amazing.
They are big birds to be sure. Check out some of the nature documentaries on them. There are a few on here. ;-)
@@love4wildlife Wow ~ saw video of a guy holding golden eagle he was helping and thought for an instant he was a tiny person. Jurassic dimensions.
Those little twirps!
Bunch of goofballs. ;-)
@@love4wildlife so funny!!!
@@zenstitch9972 Life at 100 mph. 🤣
Its beautiful , I hope it holds on until I croak..
You're right, it really is. I hope it holds on for a long time.
Gonna go boom or what?
The animals all seem to thrive in the snow. Beautiful captures. Shivering to imagine. (In LA, parkas are on at 45°.) Merci, Henrik
They truly do. Most of them seem to be relatively comfortable down to around -30 C or so. That’s no longer shorts weather. 😇
They just stopped bullfighting in Colombia: maybe they can lay off hunting these guys in the UK.
Yeah, that'd be nice. Wildlife always seems to pay the price.
Thanks for taking us on a trip!
Any time! Magnificent spot. 😊
Aye, there's a mercy in that stealth. No sense dread being part of the package.
One can just hope it's over quick. And looking at an owls pin sharp talons, it likely is.
Great footage! Glad I’m not a vole!
You and me both! Wouldn't hear a thing.
I honestly didn’t know this. Thanks so much Man!
You bet! Kinda fun putting these together as I too find out new things.
@@love4wildlife that’s what I find cool too!
Keep these coming, they're awe-inspiring.
I appreciate that. Thank you. 😊
In a parallel universe, this is a battle of epic proportion. 🐿🌿🐿 Next level adorable climbing on you. (Thanks for covering all creatures great & tiny, btw.)
It's some serious business being a ground squirrel I suspect. This was a little passion project I wanted to cross off my list and happened to be nearby recently. Little did I know I would be 'attacked' like that. 😊
Nice Vid! What tripod system are you using?
Thanks James! Using a Cartoni head (100mm) put on a set of Benro hi-hat (baby) legs for low angle filming.
Thanks for this, it made me research the Utah ground squirrel and I learned something about native wildlife in the state of Utah.
Same here. Had to do a bit more research for the narration - and learned a whole bunch of new things about them. 🙂
Love these kind of videos, keep them coming. 😊 One of them has something going on with its bum.🤔
Thanks for the feedback. And yeah, I noticed that too.
Beautiful video! Someday I'll get to add a Barn Owl to my lifelist. New subscriber here ✨✨
Welcome! I appreciate you following along. 😊. They are magnificent owls; hope you get to see them in the near future.
❤❤❤
Great work Henrik, Beautiful and peaceful Love the Title 81s
Many thanks! You know how it is. ;-)
Had no idea that sea otters can get up to 90 lbs! (Thought they were 1/3 of that, but those are river otters.) Had to look these guys up... * Thickest fur of any animal * Can hold their breath for 5 minutes for diving * There are only about 2000 of them remaining Your videos always make me want to learn more. Merci, Henrik
I know! Hard to tell the size of them when they're in the water. Really glad you looked up additional details. I too love learning new things.
Very nice. I had to laugh at 0:45, reminded me of someone tapping their head while rubbing their tummy. I guess if you can use all four feet to groom and oil up, might as well.
I just might try it but I’m not holding out much hope. 😂
Wonderful video thanks for sharing with us.
Pleasure is mine.
Great work Henrik, so beautiful😊 //KD
Thanks a lot! Always appreciated. 😊

Man, I need to come hang with you for like a month! Awesome footage ❤
Thanks bud. It is pretty unreal. 😊
OH MY! Thanks for capturing for those of us that have not seen the Lights in real life!
