Imo, the most important problem with the PWC is the 6 million murdered dogma, because I think its purpose is to supplant Christ's crucifixion in men's minds as the most evil event in history. It's literally about trans biracial "samurai" who is devoted to killing the evil white European men (rapists, drug, weapon, human traffickers, evil capitalist and the patriarchy) that are trying to control Japan. Another strong woman protagonist. If you know much Japanese cultural and history, the story really wasn't Japanese. It was written by Canadian couple, the wife is half Japanese. That being said, I do think the animation style was really cool. The idea that a small petite woman could defeat trained large men is silly. It also even uses the terminology "white devils". I will admit it's fairly enjoyable to watch but the underlying story is cultural marxists to the core. I think most actual Japanese would find it very much inaccurate and not in the true spirit of Japan or Samurai culture. I guess it hides it's wokeness by being fairly well told.

    • @chaseorosco9017

I have to disagree. I mean, I would agree that they took some things way over the top, like the part where she carries Taigen up a wall over her back and throws him through a window like nothing is ridiculous. Some of the fight scenes are just too over the top but I think that was the point. And there is the constant talk about “women in society” which I admit can be a red flag. At the same time, while we ought to be weary of these things, it actually isn’t wrong to say that many of the cultural norms of old were indeed sexist, and I say that as a Christian who believes in the patriarchal concept of the Bible. I’m not so sure it is a whole trans show; if it is, they managed to do it with excellent storytelling. It depends on what happens in future seasons. It’ll go in either one of two directions: Mizu’s supposed gender dysphoria will manifest into full on trans, or she’ll come to terms with her own trauma and find redemption. Like I said in this review, my hope is that we see Mizu, instead of seeing her entire existence as a curse, come to see how blessed she is just to be alive, find peace in that, and embrace who and what she is. That’s finding true peace. That would be an excellent story arc. But I’m leaning towards it not being a trans show because whole episode five showed betrayal from a man, it didn’t seem to curse her love for the man. Their love was genuine, she found real happiness, and enjoyed womanhood, which, from a storytelling perspective, implies this is what will make her happy. It just wasn’t the right fit. Finding peace, embracing her womanhood was what fulfilled her, helped her to move on; that’s what the story tells you. So that means, again from a narrative standpoint, Mizu’s redemption is found in that. If they decide to go full woke, then you’re right, and it will at that point be disastrous storytelling.

    • @jachyra9

"It's literally about trans biracial "samurai" who is devoted to killing the evil white European men (rapists, drug, weapon, human traffickers, evil capitalist and the patriarchy) that are trying to control Japan." No. It's literally about a biracial human who is devoted to killing the four Caucasian European males that were in Japan at the time of her conception, as at least one of them would logically be her father, and therefore the cause of her suffering. Fixed it for you. "Another strong woman protagonist." And the problem with those are...? "If you know much Japanese cultural and history, the story really wasn't Japanese." During the time in history when the events of the show occur, legalized revenge killing( katakiuchi ) was not only common, it was, much like seppuku, widely glorified and romanticized through woodblock prints, literature, poetry and theater. The Japanese have always loved this stuff, evidenced by it being a recurring theme in their modern films and literature as well. Katakiuchi gained such a hold on the populace in pre-modern Japan, that at some point during the Edo period, petitions for permission to engage in katakiuchi from commoners far outnumbered those from samurai. Just pointing out that the story of Blue Eye Samurai is very, VERY Japanese. "The idea that a small petite woman could defeat trained large men is silly." Ah, yes. This old chestnut. First of all, in no way does the show depict Mizu as "small" and/or "petite." Secondly, the history of our planet is rife with examples of women warriors besting men larger than themselves. It has to do with body mechanics, leverage, timing, boring stuff like that. Lastly, your assumption that a person who is trained will always magically defeat someone who is untrained in combat is reductive, if not ridiculous. Because not all training is equal. For what it's worth, I've spent a not insignificant portion of the past thirty years studying classical Japanese martial arts, among others. How someone trains is a LOT more important than what they are training. "the underlying story is culturally Marxist to the core." I could ask you to define Marxism for us, with or without a cultural context, but obviously there's no way of knowing you wouldn't just cheat and look that up on your phone. So I'll just say this: it's only culturally Marxist when you can prove that Mizu's motivation comes 100% from a sense of her not just feeling but actually being oppressed and victimized. And you can't. "I think most actual Japanese would find it very much inaccurate and not in the true spirit of Japan or Samurai culture." That's another ridiculous supposition. Several problems with it: First, you'd have to ask Japanese people to watch the show and give you an honest assessment of it based on your criteria. No Japanese person is going to be honest with you about their own culture and history. The next problem is finding enough Japanese people to watch the show, somehow guarantee that they ARE giving you an honest assessment about it, and then finding enough to have a majority consensus that agrees with your supposition. Lastly, please define for us, and to any Japanese person you encounter, precisely what you believe to be the "true spirit" of Japan and samurai culture. This should prove interesting. Because the one thing that all Japanese people absolutely LOVE is when foreigners define Japanese culture to them.

Jehovah/Jesus was the only one pre-ordained to be the Savior, among the other sons of God. In Heb 1 it talks of this when his God anoints him with the oil of gladness above his fellows. @@NancyBrown-xw8hg What’s the biblical evidence that links those passages together? You can’t just take a verse here and a verse there that may likely have nothing to do with each other and say “See! All it means is predestined!” That’s not how this works. That’s eisegesis, reading a theology into the text rather than reading God’s word and taking it as it stands. That Jesus is predestined from the foundation of the world in no way proves your understanding of Isaiah 43:10. And it STILL doesn’t address the fact that even if we take your understanding, the text is still saying there is no God before or after Elohim. There are no others. You will not be a god/goddess, no one will be. There is only one and there has only ever been one and none were before him, none will be after him.

@@chaseorosco9017 But Elohim is plural. After Jesus' resurrection he talks to some men on the Road to Emmaus, they are puzzled the Messiah wasn't suppose to die? So Jesus opens the scriptures for them in a different way. For generations they had been interpreting the scriptures wrong, their traditional understanding was wrong. Christianity has fallen into the same trap. I'm going off subject here but it's a good example. Here's something I learn just the other day, the word faith didn't mean at the time of Paul what it means today. We think of faith as a conviction of something you believe to be true. We believe Jesus died on the cross, but a little stronger than belief. There is this guy who went back into history to see how the Hebrews and Greeks used it at the time of Christ. (Must be his doctrinal theist or something) Then he followed it through Christianity, he could pinpoint where the drastic change began. What it meant in the culture of Paul was more like; we have a good faith agreement. It doesn't have anything to do with what you believe in but what you are willing to commit to. It is based in a patron client relationship, a covenant. So in Eph 2 Paul is saying we Jews had the works of the law of Moses to make our covenant but you gentiles didn't have to do any works to come under covenant, to be brought into the household of God. It gives a whole different feel and deeper meaning to Paul's message. Christians need to be willing to rethink their traditions, do their own studying and comparing of the scriptures. I sat down with my Bible and a Strongs Bible Concordance. I also went to several different commentaries, to get different opinions. I started with, In the beginning..., and worked my way through. Took me about 3 years an made a better Mormon of me. Ex 15 "Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?" Why is Jehovah called God of gods, Lord of Lords? Which gods?

Man, all I can say after finishing your video, is praise God. I'm smiling thinking about how God leads us to what we need when we need it. Everything you said was exactly what I needed to hear right now. I got caught up in KJVOism, (it's a long story and I'll save you from the details. Lol) and I've been battling for so long to be free of it. I read a lot of really bad books and listened to a lot of really bad people that espouse that doctrine. But it's really a teaching that's sold in fear, absolutes, and like you said is not supported by history. Ultimately by God's grace I've really come out of that mindset, but it's still haunts me as I'm reading modern translations. It's amazing how much more understanding of God's word I have reading modern translations. I know I'll be blasted by a KJVOer for being a heretic and reading a "Satanic New World Order perversion" but I'd rather actually understand what I'm reading and be transformed by God's grace and mercy through his word. I thank God that He never let me fully buy into KJVOism, and that He never allowed me to put that undue burden, guilt, and shame on other people's shoulders. Sadly, KJVOers are some of the nastiest and graceless people I've ever met and ultimately, by God's grace, that lack of fruit started to open my eyes. Again, thank you for the video. I really do appreciate you taking the time to share this. I've subscribed and can't wait to listen to more. I'm going to engage with a few of your questions in this bro. I am a non Calvinist "Provisionist". I will upload the video to my channel tonight. I am not hostile, or contentious. And I don't think you are a heretic, I consider Calvinists brothers. I steer clear of and rebuke folks for saying Calvinism is a heretical false Gospel as younger vitriolic non Calvinists spew their ignorance. Its childishness. I just love theology.

Hey man thank you for your video. I have read some of your articles before and the one you read in this video in particular, and it was good to hear it again. I appreciate your bringing into focus the parallel between the riots in Minneapolis and the French Revolution. If you're in need of someone to talk to, I'm available. Again thank you for the video.

It’s either catchup on your videos or catchup on your book! Decisions, decisions. Good stuff.

I made a mistake in my history! I confused the Sebellian controversy, which was third century with the Arian controversy in the fourth. Apologies!
