IMO, IS THE ACTION ALUMINUM - 6061 OR 70 SERIES ; OR IS IT OUT OF 416 STAINLESS ? IS THE BOLT 4140CHROME MOLY ; OR WHAT ALLOY OF STAINLESS ?

I don’t have a Cnc lathe BUT I have been tinkering with lead projectiles and a drill. I took a old ideal 311.413 mold and trimmed off the 4mm long gas check shank. What I was left with was a 130 grain flat base spire point that looks very similar to a 7.62x39 124 grain FMJ. It’s going to take a bit of patience but I’m going to cast up 40 of these 311.413’s. Modify them like I explained and put them on top of H4895. Since they drop out of the mold at 0.313.5 and I powder coat they should shoot like the dickens.

What kind of velocities are *you seeing?

What is the best mag to use? I heard one works better than the rest???

Ordering one of these for the XYLO chassis I just received for a .308win build. I also just found out that MPA PMR PRO II's are shipping with the CDG as well.

That beauty of a bullet in that ugly brass though, and I’m not even a shiny brass kind of guy. But the performance is what matters and clearly it’s spot on! Just got a .458 win mag, the water jugs and melons stand now chance

Mr. Hipp. I'm looking at the CDG and the Solus. Solus for the money, and CDG for the quality. I'm not an expert at all, nor do I have the two actions in hand. But from what I can see (and find) these two have a lot in common. One just has more attention to quality done. Is that a fair assesment, or is it much deeper than that?

How much pressure once assembled as a rifle is it to open and close the action? I would like to build another bench rifle but my disappointment with some actions is how much it upsets the rifle in the bags and going off target.
