I am an at home patient on hospice care. I have end stage COPD. Typically I have a health aid who helps me shower. There are times that I shower when she is not here. On those days, my cat comes into the bathroom with me and jumps up on the stool beside the shower door. If I begin having difficulty breathing the cat goes to get my husband. He gets in front of him and starts meowing and runs back to the bathroom. I was shocked when he did this. He does these type of things and he gets visibly upset when he sees me having a crisis. He is such a good, loving boy ❤

I had to stop just at the 3:00 mark as the AI "narrator" was becoming entirely too annoying! WHY do people use these worthless things??????? Definite thumbs down for this site!!!!!!!

I find it ridiculous that cats would not be able to sense changes in their owner's health. After all, dogs can, and are trained to either deal with, or alert others to the situation depending on the medical emergency. Cats are just as smart and have senses just as acute as most dogs.

I don't know why my like staying in darkness

Our cat sat in my mother in laws chair the very moment she died in the hospital. Our cat has never ever done that before nor after.

I have some semi feral cats and they live outside and they will do this. They will come over and show me their bellies. So I know they love me.

Hm... I heard they do this because they've slept so long, their legs have fallen asleept and stretching gets the blood flowing again.

My cat always has dry-food available, but sometimes he enjoys ' hunting ' some food from a paper-bag ! It is fun for him.
