Nier series of themes are always depressing
Caims ending was better than the main characters ending in drakkengard 2...ripped my heart out twice

This song is beautiful... 1:23 so sentimental, I love it
Let's think about it for a moment. The true strength of the gods lies in the scheming. If not, Mikhail and Zero would have ended them millenia ago. Perhaps even Brother One. If I must truly suffer this game, then I choose to believe ending B is the canon one. It's the one that makes the most sense, given Manah knows the burden Nowe would receive if he received the New Breed gift. Do not forget she's still traumatized by the Watchers and their chosen one thing.
Besides, the boss battle against Manah is far more heartbreaking and emotional for me and it feels like the true culmination of everything the characters through out the game have been telling you about love, sacrifice and power.

I think this is sort of the English censored version? Arguably it’s about Caim’s sister and her incestous thoughts towards him
The original version of Growing Wings plays during the credits after ending B. So you're right, this is Furiae's theme.
@@AofCastle its not about furiae lol its drakenguard in a single song. This version it a tamer version due to its moment that its used which is when nowe is forced to fight and kill legna, his father. His father who raised him, watched him grow, played with him. taught him all he knows is now telling the man once a boy he MUST kill him, or he will destroy all that nowe loves. All of this, nowe wishes he could return too, but cannot. The song itself represents the tragedy that is drakenguards core
@@rindao9928 I meant the original one, Drakengard 1's version. You're right that I shouldn't say that THIS version is Furiae's theme. But even then, Furiae is so important to the story that the song can represent both Furiae and the whole game
It released like this in Japan, I don't think they change songs for regions. Furiae is also like nonexistent in this game besides one dialogue that doesn't even mention her by name. You might be thinking of the version from DOD1?
The lyrics in Growing Wings carry the same meaning as in the original Japanese version, 尽きる. They're both about Furiae losing the will to live, from her perspective. The English lyrics are more circumspect about Furiae's love for Caim and the suicidal implications. For example, the lyrics "See me grow wings and fly high, passions will die down below" correspond to a line I'd roughly translate as "I grow wings and flee from love". Personally, I think Growing Wings works better as the main theme of Drakengard 1, since the obliqueness makes it seem less about just Furiae. I think calling it a "censored version" isn't giving it enough credit.

This game is a masterpiece if u know what happend in drakengard 1. Without this context it's not that good but it's still really great game.
I loved the demo of Persona 3-2 back in 2026, even if it was only 5 minutes long. Such a shame the creator lost all his files and his computer. R.I.P P3-2.
