I concur. Tooth and Labyrinth are Cl IV. Spoken by this fool who has over 400 runs in kayak, C-1, C-2, OC-1, PaddleCat and raft runs over the years. Glad you survived! 😂 It's obvious that your driver didn't know where to go and the Gauley isn't a good place for yahoo boaters. My biggest recommendation is to swim aggressively instead of floating on your back like they tell the tourists. And if you really want to give yourself a scare, take a look at Lost Paddle without water!😮

When I saw your Iron Ring flip, I thought you were paddling solo. A number of years ago and made the same mistake at 2nd drop LP. Too far right and you hit the curler at a little angle. Hard and bad place to swim. Get about a whole boat length left of were you were so you go straight over Hawaii Five-O with not boat angle.
Hitting the right curler flips you quick. If you start too far left, the water sucks you over to the nasty stuff. Soloing might want to just ride through top hole. You kept hold of your raft though. Excellent job. Good little vid. Where was the first flip?

@@16kking About 18 years ago took my nephew who was just back from Iraq - tough kid, muscular kidm heavier than me by about 40lbs - down the Upper in a Shredder. My first time shredding it. I did exactly the same thing. In a kayak you eddy out on right above 2nd drop and go over that right curler into the moving eddy as a sneak. Wrong thing to do in an inflatable. I was on right and right tube hit that curler threw me over my nephew and hist those shallow rocks hard on my back. Key is to not let the flow and seam line at the top right suck you over. Keep a little left of the seam so you can drive through the meat of Hawaii 5-O squared up on the waves. Hard swims. But you got great videos. A couple years ago my young enthusiastic partner over powered me ( my bad on instructions) at insignificant and we had to try and power through the top hole. Did not go well. Swimming from the top of Insignificant at 60+ years old and out of shape sucks. Thank you for the videos.

Awesome. Going to take my kid here over Labor Day weekend. He likes stuff that's not too crazy, smooth and flowy along the lines of Sherburne and Blueberry Lake. Thanks for video of these trails!

Where exactly is the entrance to the trail?
Keep following that grass trail that starts in the parking lot and within a half mile you'll end up at the bike trail head. It's marked with a sign and pretty easy to find although you can't see that in my footage.
Ok, just saw your Blueberry Lake video and this one started. These are the trails we have planned for this weekend. The Sherburne system is growing and looks so nice. Excellent videos!
