Grand Central Holiday Market 2016

Very excited to announce that Grand Central Market has gifted us a table at their Holiday Marketplace this weekend where we'll have our (1st ever) Lima Bean Kits for sale!! They'll contain our OG Lima Beans, spices, recipes and tips to grow your own using the beans in the kit!! We'll also have other donation incentives like tees and totes on super holiday special :)!
Gaia Development Sidewalk Garden Day

Farm LA: St. Ann's Phase 1

St. Ann's in Elysian Valley asked us to continue the beautification of the sidewalk garden we created for them on to their inner grounds. We will be growing lima beans and herbs there!!!!

UCLA's Community Service Commission came out to help us convert a curbside to a mini-farm filled with edible flowers, herbs and grain. Such a fun day!!
FARM LA - "Save The LAnd"

This is Farm LA's first PSA. Created to educate viewers on the challenges Los Angeles property owners face when attempting to sell an "unbuildable" piece of land. Farm LA wants to acquire those plots and turn them into solar and agricultural farms. It's a no-brainer.
I love this story! And I love Lima beans. It's fascinating how one little seemingly inconsequential thing can change the course of your entire life, and then branch out to other lives. Thank you for sharing this, more people should see it!

Hey Farm LA, do you have any suggestions as to how I could encourage the City of Miami to allow me to start something like this up. They are good at equivocating, and saying no for no apparent reasons. We also have mango trees, citrus, avocado, you name a tropical fruit and it grows here. I was thinking that if we could plant these on our swales, there would be food for everyone. I was told that there is some sort of ordinance against this. Any guidance would be appreciated.
This is super cool, thank you for sharing this. It is more than likely not an easy task as getting the city to go along with things is sometimes impossible. I live in Miami, Florida.
