Still got his chops like the first Springfield album............outstanding .........thanks Richie !!!

I was truely enjoying his cover of Walking In Memphis, especially the addition of the pedal steel and the background singers. Then he made the inexcusable mistake of changing the words of a song, no matter how slight. He changed the words from: "Ma'am, I am tonight" to: "Ma'am, you got that right". The words fit he cadance of the song and they even rhyme, but they change the colour of the song. Completely ruined the cover of a Marc Cohn classic. It's bad enough when a singer makes a slight change to the words of a song, but when done by a fellow songwriter, it is inexcusable! I lost a lot of respect for Richie Furay for what could have been a great cover, but turned out to simply be disrespectful garbage in the performance of a fellow songwriter's work. Some people reading this may not understand the importance of word selection, but this can make the difference between a good song and a great song. Truely great songwriters know the importance of word selection. Why do you think it takes some songwriters months, even years to complete certain songs. Waking In Memphis is a great song as originally written. Shame on Richey Furay for changing the song's colour from beautiful to butt ugly....

Wonderful to hear Richie is still going strong. At nearly 80 years old, he's truly one of the original standard bearers of what country rock is all about, from Buffalo Springfield to Poco to SHF Band, etc. This song is a classic!

Richie played a small venue near me a few years ago. this guy is as real as it gets. He spoke to anyone that approached hi m A genuinely nice guy. Richie and his band presented a flawless show. A consummate professional.

That voice! The songs! So under-rated. There'd be no Jayhawks, Ryan Adams..etc without him. Certainly one of my biggest influences.

As someone who lived some years in West Viginia, I would sugest changing the lyrics to "Appalacahcia Mountains, Monagahela River". The two geographic references of Blue Ridge Moutains and Shannendoa River actually exist in other states (perhaps Virginia).

Wonderful rendition, Richie has been one of my heroes since starting junior college in Forest City, Iowa back in the autumn of 1969! Those were the days when you could go to a department store and buy any record album that you desired. Richie has had a profound influence on the Gospel songs that I have written and recorded!!! Of course I love his buddies, Paul Cotton & Rusty Young and I played solo in some of the same clubs as Jack Sundrud!

Nice to hear the old Buffalo Springfield song without the steel guitar crowding out every other instrument. I had only ever heard the original...this is much better. And how old is Furay, he looks and sounds young! Clean living I supose.
