According to the Inflation Reduction Act, Part D premiums cannot increase more than 6% per year. In 2024, my premiums DOUBLED for the exact same plan I had in 2023 - absolutely no changes in the except that they doubled my premiums. I've called and asked everywhere and nobody seems to be able to help. How can they get away with that?

The united states will absolutely be the last country on the face of the earth with equal access to truly affordable Healthcare. Nobody should be forced to go without reasonable Healthcare because they cannot afford it. Seriously, 2k a year? Let us march together in poor health because we simply cannot pay for it

Please help! I don't know if this thread is still active, but my son needs urgent help getting Medicaid and SSI. We have been wrapped up and tangled in all the governmental red tape for 2 months now....with no help in sight. I have stage 4 cancer..no cure. My 34-year-old son moved in with me for help & support. Due to health issues, he's unable to work. Well, to make a long story short, HE now has stage 4, incurable cancer too! We can both receive treatment but it's solely used to try to slow down the spread, and attempt to offer patients as good a quality of life as possible. The problem is that he keeps getting denied for Medicaid and SSI...even though there are laws in place which guarantee his automatic eligibility and approval. You've no idea how weak I've become. I want to scream from the rooftops: HELP! My son cannot start chemo, cannot have the surgery needed to remove tumors, he cannot get treatment w/out Medicaid. I have no more $ to help. What can I do? Is there any body out there?

I have been fighting my insurance since February 2020. I am looking for a patient advocate to help me. I have carcinoid tumors in my liver, right lung, and lymph nodes. I am mentally and physically worn out fighting with them. So I was wondering if there is any help I can get.

I didn't know that WHO has declared 2020 "the Year of the Nurse". That's a spectacular, well deserved declaration!

Thank you for all you do. Nurses go above and beyond to help their patients. Doctors know what's wrong etc. But nurses make you better.
