How I Mastered The One Arm Pull-Up
How did I go from this... kicking, flailing, and kipping my way to my first one arm pull. To this? Absolutely dominating the OAP, being able to perform a OAP with perfect form and even adding weight up to 15 lbs. Well, to even get to the point where I could do a one arm pull up with all the flailing took a lot of work, but if I can do it then you can too. In early 2018 I decided I wanted to achieve a one arm pull up and the story ensues.

    NONE OF THEM CAN DO A SINGLE REAL PULLUP EXCEPT THE FIRST GUY....THE MMA FIGHTER. THOSE BLOATED BEASTS COULDNT PULL THEMSELVES UP ON SOMETHING TO SAVE THEIR OWN LIVES....WHERE A AVERAGE SKINNY DUDE COULD. THAT KIND OF STRENGTH...IS USELESS IN THE REAL WORLD.

    If you can do 20 rep pullups but can't bench 300 you can have the pull ups.

    I weighed 345lbs and was able to do 6 pull-ups. Not easy. Trained a lot with pulldowns on the machine. Was able to do 4145bs on the machine as a joke max, (As in this is stupid and can hurt you.) I use to do this about once every 3 weeks and hit it about 2-3 times...Probably not safe. Now I'm old and lift big macs.

    Compare Mariusz Pudzianowski pullups and rest of them. His one pullup should counts as at least 2 pullups of the rest strongman.

    Dude from the 3 minute mark got 0 pullups that could be counted succesfull. All failures. Ive seen mans on the gym who weight over 150kg and they even attach more weights to their body to get stronger.

      Also dude from 6~minutes failed all those he did. Cheating is not allowed. Momentum is not allowed. And the chin must be above the bar with each reps, without any of these cheating techs

    As an ARMY Infantry Veteran, if you can't do a pull-up with someone standing in front of you... Then you cant do a pull-up. 👍

    Sacrificing body functionality just to become heavy is not really the goal that a boxer should aim for if he wants to keep boxing. Time to invest in cardio and body controll exercises, calisthenics. Stamina and body full functionality.

    Best OAP tutorial I've seen! No water, no "You can do OAP in 1 month" BS, just hard work and results, wow! Clayton, are you planning to publish your program with weights, exercises and program with time progressions? I know you have a lot in this clip, but would be interested to see timelines. I'm always getting injuries on the way once I'm getting to 50% body mass weighted and would love to see your progressions here too.

    Well, for my money Marius was the only one I saw actually doing legit pull ups. The rest of them were doing pull-ats…. (And I feel for them, that’s how I look when I’m trynta do those damn things! That’s what I know!!)

    Well the world record for pull-ups is 9250 in 24 hours, so about 6.4 pull ups per minute. 40 doesn't seem that ridiculous to me anymore...

    That pullup bar looks super fat and hard to grip lol, you would probably do a lot more on a thinner bar. You're using up too much energy on the grip.

    If you wanna get results faster than 5 years, slow down the negative reps. I did 54 pullups after a few months of training, and no weighted or assisted pullups, but I grew up with monkey bars.

    It is about practice and fesh energy use. I used to be over 140kgs and used to one arm push and pull upsand one leg squats to 100 reps all natural. But if someones focused at other exercises and tries this it will fail. The best is rotating between different type of exercises every 3 months time. Ass to grass to reverse curl to overhead for reps with giant sets is the ultimate exercise no matter what anyone tells. However being truly healthy and being extremely powerfull is not the same thing. Intact Bone structure and immune system is the most important thing aswell as quality of rest, sleep and diet. It is not only about how heavy and how many reps we can do but i,t is about mental, physical and psychological health

    Poundstone only did one pull-up. The chin is supposed to clear the bar not the top of the head.

      Yes obv, that is due to heavier body weight to support the heavy lifting which made the strongmen lift hundreds of pounds. unlike calisthenics, which have leaner and lighter body compared to these bulky guys that made them easy to pull their on own weight up.

    This makes no sense he is the worlds strongest man with brute strength pull-ups are more about endurance like cross fit or general fitness pull ups for a worlds strongest man which is twice the size of a standard person makes no sense great for entertainment though

    Still the strongest in the world. Now take one of those guys that had the record for most in a row, then put their entire body weight on a pull down bar. These guys will show what a new record would look like if they had their strength.

    I gained a lot of weight and was able to do 5 pull-ups at 285 pounds. I went up to about 300 pounds before I decided to lose weight. Now I’m 220 pounds and struggled to do 2 pull-ups. I lost a lot of my strength with losing the weight. So I guess I lost a lot of muscle but I feel a lot better at 220 and I’m not done yet. My goal is 200 pounds.

    Half of this pullups are not chin over bar and koppimg pullups.also most of this "pullups are chins not pullups. Zeeeero! They are amazing athlets but this video feels sloppy
