For Kasey, restoration of old homes is like tracing past ancestorial maps of families long gone and in a way, it brings their stories back to life.

Relying on her expertise in construction and renovation, Kasey Stone has worked on historic properties throughout North Carolina, including countless projects in the state’s largest historic district located in Washington NC. The Hyatt House is Kasey’s biggest restoration project. The Hyatt House is the 2nd oldest house in Washington and was built in 1785 and has been vacant since 1967 except for the ghost that lives on the third floor.

Principal of Clerestory Design a full-service Interior Design firm serving Eastern North Carolina and beyond, Kasey holds a degree in Architecture from NC State and a degree in Interior Architecture from UNC-Greensboro. She is also a licensed General Contractor with a specialty in historic renovation and restoration.
