    Fantastic photos. To this day I remember getting my foot stuck in a gap between the access steps and the rocking Noah’s arc. Even as a kid I realised the significance that I’d have lost my foot if it rocked further than it did

    You wouldn't believe MORECAMBE WAS THE SAME PLACE NOW,, AND IN THE 80"S & 90"S IT WAS A GOOD NIGHT OUT ROUND THE TOWN,, IT WAS A BUSY LITTLE TOWN,,

    For most families looking for a day trip frontier land was the main reason to visit Morecambe. I honestly believe that the major decine of Morecambe started because once there was no frontier land there was no place for a family with kids to want to visit. The same thing very nearly happened when Sefton council wanted Southport pleasure land to go by not renewing their lease. The fun fair closed and the beachfront went deadly quiet , now there's a fun fair back...its picked up again!

    they've ripped the heart out of morcambe. just glad I waz born in 1969 and enjoyed the best times ever they say things improve . but not through my eyes they do

    loved going to that place as a kid.our local football team stayed each year for a week and we all got the weekly pass.i musta been 9 my 1st visit and my last was at 12.memories i will cherish.is the place still going these days?

      Nope, it got closed in 2000. It's just derelict wasteland now. All gone forever.
