Love this!
I love this! I have an Ernie Felice model Sonola accordion.
Hi Dallas, I have enjoyed these “recorded” live presentations. This information is so well presented and integral to the greater goal of contributing as an accordion player. Community is a huge factor in advancing the dynamics and appreciation of our instrument. I deeply respect your approach to studying. Mostly because it’s the second time I’ve heard it, but from an accordion player, not a keyboard teacher.
Hey Dallas, I had to drop out before the end of the live stream but caught up with it here. Hearing about your practice routine is inspiring even though I might not be ready for all 12 keys. Thanks, BG
Thanks Dallas, nice educational piece at 1:35.
Great suggestions🎉
Great seeing you yesterday!
Is this course still available?
Hey, Dallas. Next time you play sentimental songs for friends and neighbors… Fasten your accordion on the back of a girl, sing and play the German „Schneewalzer“ and dance at the same time - for „warming up“. It‘s possible. I did that on my birthday party last Sunday.😅
Yea! Dallas. This is manna for the striving accordionist.
Great! I'm thrilled to hear you dig it. : )
Sunday morning viewing. Great! Thanks Dallas!
❤️🇧🇷❤️
Amati and Marcel--so beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Dallas.
This is great information! Thank you for sharing.
das bin doch ich!
Очень хорошее объяснение. Только одно замечание: шестая уменьшенная ступень в до мажор - это Ab, а не G#. G# - это увеличенная 5 ступень.
Thanks Dallas!
Tommy Gumina’s free bass system makes the most sense IMO and is the easiest to learn. It’s similar to Titano extended stradella system, except the lowest octave is nearest the left edge. When you go up to the next octave(s) you do not have to skip over a counterbass row, so it’s easier to play smooth scales and arpeggios. The downside was that you could not make a “converter” accordion that could switch to stradella. Nick Ariondo is the only guy I know of that plays it
This ist too much talking adjusting selfreliant awfull
It’s great to see you explaining the bass side of the accordion. But for a beginner I think it’s a little too advanced. Thanks for sharing.
All the things you are
Bring me the tunes, man. I'm 5 minutes into your b.s. and, oh there it is. Now I hear ya.
Thank you so much for this Dallas! This is such valuable technique that you shared from the workshops.
came for knowledge , stayed for meow mix commercial
Nice sound!
Came for the cellist 😆
To much talk yuk
It's a lesson!
You seem to be repeating yourself.
To much talk yuk
Some of us learned something from all the talk.
Are the classes recorded and available?
Thanks for your help! Great player! Super accordion 🪗 🎉
You need an intro, I almost didn't catch the name of the app 😅
You should check Øivind Farmen's system for thumb use
14:07 Cool I'll use this!
Good morning , my name is not Steve ,, but Thank so much for helping out ,, very good tutorial video
Fantastic arrangement ideas. Love your setting too.
Thanks so much! 😊 I'll be back in the desert for the month of June, so if it's not too hot out, I'll do the livestream outside again!
The 3 guys playing „over the rainbow“ are using a very old and published arrangement by George Shearing note by note. Sorry, but Shearing and his piano sounds better.
Thanks for that information Rudolf, I did not know that was the arrangement. You've inspired me to go find that arrangement, it's gorgeous.
@@RisingReed I hate to tell you … but that collection of scores published under Shearings name but never played by him like that … is definitely out of print. But it‘s worthwhile looking for it. I once arranged it in a slightly reduced way for classical guitar, my main instrument, played it for my children and it still sounded gorgeous. And on the acc solo YOU have even more possibilities. If you haven‘t been successful by next month, I can try and contact my LH-airbus flying and Boesendorffer playing daughter and search her collection. 😎
Are you still doing those classes? I am interested
great stuff!!!!!
Thanks!
Great musical lectures, you can learn a lot and watch the game of Jazz and swing.👍✌👌
Thanks so much, very interesting and helpful video. It's difficult to find good video about technical approch of jazz with accordion
Love the Vallenato, thanks! Back in the day the “cartridge” converted the movement of the “needle” to an analog electrical signal. Album “covers” were known for their “cover art,” often as notable as the music, think “Tapestry” or “Who’s Next.” Blast from the past!
Thanks Tom! That chain of knowledge! Do you still put on any records?
Thank you for sharing your tutorial.
This is the best youtube tutorial on jazz for the accordion. One of the reason being that it is the only one :-) Jokes aside, this is really good stuff.
Do you have a recommendation for an android app?
I have an Android and it's not available. It looks like a great app. I'm going to see what else is available.
Dallas!
Neato!
Hello. This is a good example of the accordion being a good instrument to play. Thank you for posting this
