    Yeah definitely leave the huge gaps all around it for water to make it's way into your house

    You skipped over the biggest issue I have -removal of the siding without damaging

      Hey Jaime, if you are going over existing siding with the wide mount vent cover, removing siding is not necessary. If its an existing vent simply reuse the hole that is already there, if its a new vent being added just drill through the siding and wall with a 4 inch hole saw. Then seal around the dryer vent with silicone after its installed. Hope this helps with any confusion!

      Holesaw used in reverse on plastic so it doesn’t grab and destroy the siding.

    The sheet metal duct was delivered all bent up as well as the box it came in. Can not keep it together. Wondering if I can use the old duct that's already there?

      If it fits over the old duct, there's no need for the tube. Personally I would've demanded an exchange since the package and contents were abused.

    I hate the cheap sheetmetal duct. It came apart never regained its original shape. Rigid duct for me

    You need to caulk where the pipe goes thru wall. Bugs will get in there easily!

    how do you keep the flap from banging in the wind?

    • @p-tecproductsinc.3513

      It may be a detail related to the install such as not being slightly inward at the top to nor allow the magnet to attach to the bearing. Or the attachment screws are over tightened not allowing door seal against the mount. It could also be caused by air infiltrating the home at another location which creates an internal pressure, and the No Pest Vent becomes the relieve valve, then the gust of wind catches the door and lets quickly close again. You can give us a call if you have any addition questions, and we will try to help you. Thank You, Kelly

    And rot your roof and attic with all the moist air being sucked back in through the soffit vents.

    Don't bother if you came for any special instructions for stucco.

    just install this last weekend and the metal tube disconnected from the plastic housing, not a very secure system. Now I'm having to find myself climbing up back into the attic to fix it. Reason I even noticed was when I turn the fan off I the bathroom there's a noticeable clicking sound from outside, the door flap closing. I wasn't hearing that anymore, so I check and sure enough....yep, came undone

    Will the face place mount over an existing flange?

  • @greybeardnharg3992
    @greybeardnharg3992 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This doesn't include the full installation for the J-Block. If you bought this one, and are wondering what the fourth piece does, check out the Lambro Industries installation videos. The fourth piece goes on the inside of the installation. And, yes to the caulking as well.

    Wouldn’t you also want to use some type of sealant around the top and sides of the wide mount if mounting it directly to the side of the house without the flange?
