Episode 1 of our trans America adventure! In this video we rode from Boston to Tennessee to the start of the Trans American Trail.
I don’t Know Why I’m saying this, but You two don’t seem to be very American. You seem to be very easy-going and relaxed, but still also very thoughtful.
Wishing you all the very best!
Loved your video series of the Trans America Trail. I do alot of long distance motorcycling and have a few BMWs. Nearing 200,000 on a BMW.
Really enjoyed your tat series. You two are great together and it really comes through the camera. Do you plan on doing anymore more rides?
Really curious of how many miles you have on your bike. No warranty? I Keller would’ve definitely taken you the same place just more slowly, and not as comfortable.
Bike had close to 35k miles on it when we bought it I think if I remember correctly :)
@@twowheelsup5997 wow looks so good! I have a 2015 GS 1200 I just bought with 9k on it for 11 thousand. Starting my adventures. Thank you for sharing!
My 1200gs would be so happy to do a trip like this! Thank you for sharing!
There is some amazing rafting in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania as well. Here in California, we have the north in the middle on South Fork River.
Robert is the man! Love his RD400.
I see a lot of video where you’re missing your gloves and your helmet is up. After hitting the ground face first and 40 mph I can tell you it does wonders for your chin. It made me cringe just watching it but you guys are having a super great time, so awesome I’m very jealous.
Anyone who thinks Oklahoma is boring has never been to eastern Colorado. Although I love it all. There are no boring landscapes, only boring people.
Northern New Mexico. The only place that makes Oklahoma look densely populated.
Just watched your whole series Great job Hope you maybe post another trip Ride safe
Thank you for sharing your adventure.
I truly enjoyed watching your adventure and I'm glad you had reached the goal destination. Two up on motorcycle doing off road it's kind of reel adventure that we never know the end. I've seen a good pilot and a specialist in change management having fun together through the experience. If a day you guy's come to see Quebec city let me know...I'll make room for you
In restrospective.. .people in Salida rock!
Great job and chemistry
1st fall??? That's a testament to his incredible riding skills! If you rode off-road that far in all that varying terrain and went down 5 times by then you'd still be considered expert grade... but only once? WOW!
I can't stop laughing... you guys never heard of "Dollywood" in Pigeon Forge??? Holy cow! I guess you were trying to tell us you've never been anywhere without telling us you've never been anywhere, eh?
You guys are AWESOME! I rode portions of the TAT - one up - and was WIPED at the end of every day. I couldn't imagine doing it 2 up!
SO??? what was wrong with the bike?. was it fixed properly the first time??? Surprised no one else seems to ask?
Sort of... The first time it was the radiator fan had gummed up and stopped triggering all together. The later issue was a water pump issue! We rebuilt that and it seemed to fix it.
Cool! (pun intended)@@twowheelsup5997
Awesome! I did a coast to coast (return) two up 10 years ago on a GS 1200. This brings me back! Thank You.
Is Zoe hungarian, or background from there?
Super proud of you guys, glad you decided to go all the way…I suspect you will feel the same, at least in years to come. You guys made a great choice to take this adventure at this age. It very difficult to take the time (and $$$), when you have children, busy with careers and just life. My wife and I, now in our late 50’s are finally able to do these things as our kids are grown, married (and our 1st grandchild on the way). Anyways, just wanted to say we both enjoyed your journey and look forward to see how Billy did getting some very deserved love and care. If ever in SC y’all have a safe place to lay your heads. Be well
Thank you!
Just finished watching, will you be doing an AFTER video? You left us hanging!
Ha! Thanks Ed! We do have another video planned to come out shortly, and another trip coming up soon so stay tuned ;)
Crater Lake one of the most beautiful spots on earth.
Great video, I drove through Salida on the way to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, beautiful place!
I just stumbled upon this…amazing. What an adventure. Such a true adventure is hard to come by in the modern era.
Being a native of Quincy, I suspect that putting your head in the bay might have been the sketchiest part of the ride!
Those Nelson Rigg bags must be popular. I got a set also. Enjoyed your video trip.
"Just think what Coke will do to your teeth if it can eat rust off a bolt." Yes, that's true. But the acid in your stomach will not only take rust off a bolt but eat some of the bolt away too.
There's still a lot of good people in America. This one put a smile on my face, guys.
I was hooked at "I'm questioning my life choices.." Well done guys.. Marina and I have ridden two up across the USA 3 times, and we love it. Your video was fantastic!
Just found your channel while searching for MC road trips on YT. I moved to Southern California from Minnesota when I was 19yo, drove my motorcycle and it was an adventure.. it took me a few years to get used to the wild fires and the earth quakes 😀 Great videos. Have you two considered doing a travel vlog for a living? You should! 👍
Incredible journey. Now I wanna do it.
Superior contents! Love the series.
Super awesome!
Epic!
Preparing for a SS 1000 and came across your videos. Great job!
I’ve sooooo enjoyed this !!!! Your trip has me questioning my life choices lol
Absolutely loved watching your adventure. Good luck to you both
Awesome video series and congrats on doing this! Very impressive. BTW what is your backtrack music? Thanks!
Woah. I was wondering if there was color grade on the video in the editing….and then you literally answered it for me.
So when is the next trip/video?
Just finished watching all the videos from the TAT! It was amazing to see the change in your outlook, your spirits, the video quality, story telling etc. I appreciate the authenticity of the videos as well, you werent afraid to show the frustrations of being with your partner for that long, dealing with adverse weather or mechanical issues. A lot of people make it seems like the videos and journey had no challenges. I was bumped that there were no more videos to watch but I’m excited to see your next adventure! As a 24 year old who is focused on just grinding day in and day out for a better job or higher pay you all have inspired me to get out and explore and live life!
I think a “after the journey” video would be really educational on what went well, wrong, improvements, considerations etc
Thanks Colton - Your comment means a lot :) We agree 100% get out an explore while you are young!
Thanks for all the effort you put into making & sharing these videos. Hope you continue seeing the world together, and letting us tag along. You know, there are people doing this as a full time career!
Your muddy crash reminded me of the time I was flying own a fire road on my OSSA. In a fraction of a second, I saw the wasp coming from right to left. Later on in that second, Mr Wasp was inside my helmet buzzing in my ear. Letting go of the bars, I undid the D rings, but as I yanked the helmet off, Bang! I was stung. Just then, I hit the mud. With my helmet in my hands & not on the bars, down I went. LOL I laid there in the mud, grabbed a little handful, & packed it onto the sting! We were really lucky to have fun back in the good old days!
14:20 Great teamwork! I'm 67, hitting the TAT in '22. Wish I had a partner like you two have each other! Edit: Even doing the centerstand together! You guys are in ❤
Cowboys ride horses
Sorry your bike created unwanted problems for you. I sympathize and have some experience with your lost for words headache. At 20k my 2016 R1200GSA transmission had a catastrophic failure that destroyed the engine too at interstate speed...1400 miles from home. I was already running from winter weather coming fast into South Dakota when my problems began. Enjoyed your posts..keep them coming.
Nice to bring this adventure to and end, hopefully the cause of the overheating was established and the repairs not too costly.. I hope Zoe will agree to accompanying you on more adventures on Billy, I would hate to see your motorcycle touring come to an end. Stay Safe Guys.
