My silk epil 5 stopped working randomly. How can I make sure it’s the battery issue? What if the motor or chip something has issue. Much confused.
Is there a red light when you try to turn it on ?
omg thank you for making this! Can you also show how to totally take the tweezer roller bit apart? I can see there is stuff stuck on the side between the round plates at the ends of it..i think you havee too take the metal rod off..but i was too scared to do it without any guidance. TIA!!!!
Hello, I am happy to hear those tutorials are useful ! Here is the video to remove every part from the head: th-cam.com/video/QrXbR3OHS0o/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for the video! How can I get the plastic tool to detach the front of the controls? I couldn't find it in Brazil... :-( any suggestions?
You can find it on amazon maybe ? amzn.to/3yw4Bnw
What kind of battery do you need for replacement? The amazon link in the description is dead
Hello, does this one work for you ? amzn.to/3V7gkSf Cheers !
... just saved me £149! thank you!!! 🏆
Amazing ! Glad we could help. Where did you buy the battery ?
Thank you so much!
I am so glad it helped ! What needed to be repaired ?
Which screw drive used here ?!
This one : amzn.to/3UBaO90
Thanks. €5 for a new battery rather than €90 for a new Braun!
Very happy to hear that. Did you manage to change the battery ?
Hi! Where did you get the battery from?
@@Noone-bs1ys iink.club/battery
I'm so glad I found your video before trying it on my own that could've led to completely breaking my epilator. Thank you so much for sharing! 💜
Happy to help ! Is it fixed now ?
@@cyclepil Yes, like new! 😁 It was completely stuck and I thought the gear mechanism broke, being made of plastic. I didn't even think it would collect so much residue inside. And now I know how to maintain it, I can't thank you enough!
I cannot get the motor out of the housing. I removed the screw and the plastic thing. I am pressing the back button into the housing. But it is not possible to pull the inside out. Any idea why?
You have to pull the upper part pretty hard for the motor to go out because of the water seal. Same with the plastic part you have to push hard. Make sure you have the right spare battery for the Silk Flex, it is not the same one as other Silk Epil epilators.
Thank you. I have used duct tape to get a better grip and could pull it out. The battery change was successful. Good Video!
@@ManagerBerg Wonderful ! Where did you get the battery ?
Hello! I'm not able to find the battery :( could you please resend the link. Thank you so much.

Hi I've got the Silk Epil Braun 9. While I was using it the light turned red and after some while it stopped to work and the light started to flash in the green colour. Now it is impossible to make it work again. Even if it is not attached to the electric power, it continues to flash. Do you think it could be a battery problem? Thank you for your help.
Hi ! Have you been using it for more than 6 month / 1 year ?
@@cyclepil yes, more than one year without doubt. Now I noticed that also the green light stopped to flash. No signal if it's attached to the power
@@ilarialucarini1561 The most likely reason is that the battery has run out of power because it has used up all its stored chemical energy. Replacing it will make the epilator functional again. Don't forget to clean the inside of the head too. Clogged gears drain the battery faster. (Tutorial on the channel)
@@cyclepil ok, I think I'll try with a new battery. Thank you very much for your advice
@@ilarialucarini1561 Glad I can be helpful !
Regret that i didn’t see this before buying. Mine broken forever. Would anyone give me an advice for better device?
What part is broken ? Sad to hear. If you want to stay with Braun products i’ll recommend Silk Epil 7, easier to repair.
@@cyclepil what would you advise overall, are there any better devices on market?
I’ll still go with Silk Epil 7, easy repair, lots of spare parts available. I’ll soon post reviews of competitor models to find if alternatives are better.
Thanks to your clear and concise video here I just managed to change the battery of my Silk Epil 7🎺😀 It is charging right now, with a flashing green light.
Thank you, that means a lot !
Hi sir how to clean Philips satinelle
Hi, what is the name/number of the epilator ?
Philips BRE235
Ehrte I Nix Thiago Battry? Secound questiion the size from battry ist für all Moder Same? I have dies Epil exactly
For now the replacement battery for Silk Epil 9 Flex is not available online. It is not the same kind of battery as the other Silk Epil epilators.
Thank you, that was very helpful
Our pleasure ! Did you manage to repair your epilator ?
Thank you this helped a lot! Wasn’t sure how it opened up after removing the tork screws. I noticed some yellow grease around the button area. Do you know what grease to get as replacement please? Also, should I use the same grease on the cogs on the top section? Many thanks again!
Use Silicon grease.
Hello ! To our knowledge, there shouldn't be any grease around the button area. It's likely just residue accumulated from regular usage.
И какой лучше flex или просто 9
I recommend buying the 9 not the flex, it is easier to repair and clean.
Hi there , Managed to take out screw! Can we remove the round part to clean the hairs? If you could share your complete video link, that would be great.
Hello ! The golden round part seems to be locked in place, without any way of removing it without breaking it..
Hey, great video! Is there a way to disassemble it even further, since I still can't clean the sides properly?
Hello ! Sadly we have not been able to disassemble the head without breaking it
Need to epilate those arms!
What screwdriver do you use? What size?
Link in the comment to the exact size needed :)
Thank you very much! 😍
Did you manage to clean and fix the epilator ?
Thanks for the video. The screw is a T8 by the way.
Did your battery swap went allright ?
0:52 was the critical step. Won't actually epilate if you don't have it in that exact orientation, but it will still spin like normal.
Yes, did you manage to clean the head correctly ?
Yes, I did, thanks to your video.@@cyclepil

thank you, Sir
With pleasure. Did this help solve your issue ?
@@cyclepil Yes, I had to replace the battery so this helped me tremendously.
Mine isn’t spinning is it done with?
Does the part attached to the body spin if your remove the head ?
@@cyclepil yes
1) Separate the body from the upper part 2) Remove the cap by pressing both sides 3) Try moving it manually by rolling the part with the tweezers 4) Does it roll ? 5) Open it (full tutorial on my channel) 6) Is there hair stuck inside ? 7) Try removing the hair like in the video If there is no hair and you cannot even roll the tweezer part manually, it might be time to buy a new one : iink.club/headflex

Hi! The metal bar came off on mine and i’m trying to put it back. Can you do a video on that or show where its supposed to snap back into?

Hello, would you be able to tell me the Wh of the battery that was originally inside the epilator ?
If you look for Sanyo UR18500Y online you might find all the details about it.
I wanted to replace my battery, but the contacts on the new one prevented me from doing so. So i wanted to put the original one back, unfortunately i put it back upside down for a few seconds. I could smell something burnt. Is the device dead or is it the battery ?
Sadly I think that a part on the circuit board might have burnt. Maybe a professional can repair it. Best of luck.
Why is the replacement battery in the link and in the video in the background different than the one you are taking out??? Where can I find this battery without the contacts on the side?
Hello, the battery without pins is the Sanyo ur18500y
It might be too late by now, but I ordered the same battery that you did (the one mentioned in the description and shown in the background of the video) and if you pull out the bits that the battery touches, and break off the three prongs that touch each side of the battery so you just have the copper plate and the part that goes into the motherboard, the contacts on the battery itself are the perfect length to press against the plate to make a connection. This would definitely be warranty voiding but you probably aren't on this video if you still have a warranty available.
Great insight ! What tool did you use to remove the two bits from the battery ?
To be clear, I didn't remove the bits from the battery. Those are spot welded on and would probably be too difficult to remove without destroying the battery unless you really knew what you were doing. I just used tweezers to pull out the contacts on the battery holder and bend the prongs off.
Do you how to disassemble the other head?
