Dat gaat lekker man! Ik heb nu een espada met een 90 elpto. Motor zelf gemonteerd vorrige week met de cavitation plate 15mm hoger dan de bodem van de boot, echter boven de 80 km per uur raakt de boot met verder trimmen erg uit balans. Accu staat nu voorin maar ga ik naar achter verplaatsen in de hoop dat de boot verder het water uit komt en meer op zn kont gaat bij vol gas, dan nog eens testen. Jij nog meer tips toevallig?

That’s the exact same noise I’m trying to fix at the minute, I’ve had both forks rebuilt with new bushes seals oil etc and still the same. Have you found the cause?

evinrude is evinrude its a love story and history it hold the speed record of outboard its this best of best not like the other shit outboard you cqnt compare any outboard engine to omc its the rolls royce of sea around 40 years using this engine all what i can say perfection

The underwater drag of the outboard gearbox will limit the speed you will hit a drag wall that cannot be beat with power it’s unavoidable. Have fun trying.👍

An old friend in the 90's who's father owned a Stratos dealership took me out on a Stratos pro 201 if I remember correctly.It had an Evinrude V8 outboard.We were drinking Jack Daniel's and it was after dark.I remember seeing the speedo 88mph then I hid in the floor board.He said we got over 90mph.I can't believe we're still alive.

An outboard on a 3 point doesn’t make a lot of sense other than they are easy to work on. The transom needs to be lightweight.

I never expected this video to have so many views and comments. I appreciate all the positive comments and words of advice. I feel like I should clarify some things. First, this boat is not mine, it is my friends boat, he built it from scratch. I was asked to prepare the V8 to be put on this boat. I ultra-soon cleaned the carbs and rebuild them with new gaskets and needles & seats, replaced all gaskets, replaced the entire ignition system, designed a fuel rail, performed the link & sync, set the timing etc. I was driving the boat in this video and it was the first time EVER I drove this boat and this engine. It is also the reason why we are on such a small body of water; it is nearby the house, great to check if the engine even runs properly and in case of any problems we can pull the boat out of the water easily. It was never our intention to see how fast it would go here. We first wanted to check out the engine, and it turned out it was not running right (surging/lack of power after a few seconds on plane and increasing RPM). Since this video the boat has unfortunately not hit the water again yet (due to lack of time on his side). As for the safety issues, I agree with many points that were brought up concerning the setup, steering, canopy etc. and during the setup of the boat I have already pointed out many of those issues. He is a bit more "brave" then we are ;-) Since I did not build the boat and do not agree on the way some things were designed/setup I will not try to run this boat hard, I'm just there for the technical support for the V8. Finally I feel bad for those that think it is neccessary to post negative comments without constructive feedback or an explanation, never understood what the fun in that is.

I would call that a very successful first run. Looks great, sounds like a beast, went forward, didn't sink, catch fire or blow-up. Great job keep up the effort and I look forward to seeing your advancing progress. Pay NO mind to the ignorant for they are in the dark and blind.
