2nd half of troubleshooting this tractor for intermittent A/C problems, Found the low pressure switch had hung up, bypassed that, ran for another hour, and came back for no A/C. No power to compressor, further troubleshooting revealed the main connector on the engine harness, was full of bad connections, butt connectors, and rubbed through spots.

    Just fixed mine today. I almost bypassed the latch switch as well but I knew it worked because the window functioned if I depressed the latch by hand. It just wouldn’t work when the tailgate was closed. Disassembled the latch and found the safety switch (plunger style) rod had slipped to the side of the latch and would not depress enough when tailgate was closed. I bent the switch mounting bracket just a hair to kick the plunger rod back in line with the latch and now the window works perfectly!! Only took about 12 years to figure out 😂

    • @rprlife9381
      @rprlife9381 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, I would have preferred to change it. Time is money in this industry, it is costing the company x amount of dollars for each hour the equipment is sitting, so most of the repairs are just enough to get it going, and try to schedule additional repairs at a later day when there is a lower demand for the equipment. Unfortunately it's something we have to deal with as technicians.

    We’re you not thinking it might be the starting aid? Also hooked to the ignition circuit.

    • @rprlife9381
      @rprlife9381 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The start aid would not have taken power away from the cab. Once the ignition switch is closed that powers up the cab, and the start aid circuit through the main power relay. The start aid is for either injection which we do not use, it doesn't get cold enough here for that..
