this is SUCH a great jam tune that keeps everybody on their toes! Don Grolnick composed. THanks for posting
Are you sure about Grusin?? I think composed by Don Grolnick.
@@hansnagle5764 Corrected. Thanks!
Awsome!
whose band is this? I dont really understand who is leading here? Weckl is on the short list of all time greats... Mike is a monster as well.
the tapping is annoying
Wow absolutely killing it. How musical is that solo Carlos phenomenal
Kick asses. Like I did. Playin. My. Guitar 🎸🎸🎶😀💕 I
What piece is this?
Wooow!
Yes...
Very impressive playing Ye Huang....sir you have just gained a new fan who has not heard of you before this. Such great clean articulation, chops and playing. I just subscribed to your channel. I will be coming to watch more of you.
Just wow.
🥁😎🥁

Nothing personal but way too much guitar playing .
😂😅
mIKE Stern is a Minor man?
what a great player, I have learned a lot from you. You opened my eyes.
Fender deluxe reverb amp?
Rhythm section - pure genius
GENIAIS
The ultimate duo Dave and Tom! Sax man is great too!
I really love music ...🙏🙏🙏
I hate these guys ... i want to burn my drums when i hear musicianship like this😧.... nah it’s inspiring as fuck, just like seriously ?? how get THAT good ?????? lol much bless to weckl and crew ... gosh damn ....
YES
Great playing, but I have to say that it took a lot of patience to get through the guitar solo/solos at the beginning. Everytime he walked over toward his chair, I thought, ok here we go, and then he would step on another pedal, and he we go again. I persevered and made it through the video and was impressed with the performance despite the guitar overindulgence. Just my opinion of this tune after a first listen.
Very dangerous to play that tune after what made Michael Brecker every time he played it.
Always a blast to hear this rocking music. Stern still has fire even after surgery. Bass drums are flawless and the sax player I never heard of held his own and showed he could play. I will look out for more from him
Dave Weckl tremendo baterista, exelente grupo!!
chick could have gotten anyone for the elektric band ... he picked dave ... enough said ''
People have been hating on Dave since the moment Chick hired him. And yet, he's been there for the duration of Chick's career. He seems to have done something right. 🤔
@@ricaard '' HI THERE '' ... I think you have me '' .. wrong .. what I was saying was ... I think Chick knows A GREAT DRUMMER '' when he hears one ! ... DAVE IS Pure Pleasure '' '' .. luv watching & listening ''
@@deannewberry8219 oh no, I got ya, and I agree! I just remember most of my drummer friends and the drum community in general had problems with him. I thought he was perfect for the job at hand. He marked a drastic shift in how groove would be defined in a jazz group, and change is hard. There was a lot of push back.
@@ricaard LENNY was a hard act to follow .... & FOR some drummers .. I think DAVE really might be making them just alittle jealous '' being they were 'nt picked '' .... LOL '' X A ZILLION ''

It's in 4. The accents add surprise
しまった、マイク・スターンだ!
BORING!!!
👊😎🔥
This is not music for mere mortals.
Both Dave and Tom play at a level from another planet, but both look as if they would rather doing something else. Their delivery is very hard to watch.
Its for listening. You know they’re into it when you listen. Its hard for me to watch guys who make tv faces that aren’t coming from a musical place. It all depends what entertains you.
@@zangsax great answer!
@@zangsax That’s it in a nutshell.
Great players, to bad Dave Weckl doesn't use a more jazz like sound, tuning and cymbals. It would sound much better
He gets hired for his current sound, it works for the people who hire him.
In case you haven’t noticed it’s not a jazz gig👀 it’s more rock/fusion 👀you should use your ears brother🎶
