Monkey temple is very incorrect name given to this temple. It's called Swayambhunath temple. Locals should educate the people to call it by its real name. Monkey's reside on the surrounding area so the temple is crowded by them.

5:35 The spillway itself did not instill confidence. The original plan was to remove the landslide completely as it was initially deemed unstable and there was a fear that rising water levels or another seismic event would lead to its rupture. Chinese and Pakistani engineering teams drilled holes into the landslide mass and initiated controlled detonations multiple times in the hopes of clearing the landslide. Only when a certain seismic threshold was reached was the landslide considered stable enough to be left alone, and Attabad Lake became a permanent feature.

The lake is now a huge tourist location.

Hi. Great documentary. How much did it cost you to make this documentary ? My main interest is the apricot / apricot seed eating / apricot seed oil as well as the fruit eating habits of the Hunzakuts, for health and longevity. =) Would love to discover their fruit planting / maintaining / harvesting systems... I also would love to research the B17 vitamin...
