I have a question, how much did your collection of USGI surplus cost? How much does usgi surplus cost over in your region of (Russia?) For context My 6sh122 cost $150 2005 Cut VSR-98 "Flora" uniform $80 Splav m1/21 suit $90 VSR-98 Flora Winter Parka " Byshlat - Бушлат." $85 Here in the US you can get a full unissued m81 bdu set for under $30, perhaps even under $10 or $5 if not free if they have some serious wear. Thrift (second hand) stores usually will have a few bdu garments stashed in the jacket or pants section for as low as 50 cents to $5. Seeing BDU pants around is pretty common, especially with older outdoorsmen and airsofters. ACU and UCP garments are common to see in use by low-end contractors, especially people who build or repair things use UCP acu pants since they are disposable and cheap. Russian surplus isn't seen much around here but I have seen Gorkas and winter afghanka parkas used recreationally in the Western States such as Montana, I have also seen Russian surplus used normally (not by collectors just normal people) in Alaska. Montana, and UP of michigan in the winter. Certainly has become much rarer to see in the past 5 years.

But I can say that the uniform and elements of equipment of the US Army from the 1980s and 1990s and 2000s can be purchased in Russia and in the countries of the former Soviet Union. For example, a summer set of BDU Woodland with a cap will cost from 4000 to 6000 rubles (46-70 USD). LC Alice will cost from 7,000 to 15,000 rubles (71-175 USD) depending on the number of elements. Sometimes these elements can be found in combination with commercial equipment from simple airsoft players who are not involved in historical reconstruction And so on. It’s funny that chest rigs like TLBV are not expensive at all, around 4,000 rubles (46 USD). Apparently because reenactors are less interested in them. What’s really hard to find on sale is PSGT personal armor protection kits. You can find vests and helmets separately on sale, but the price for them will be very high. Therefore, some airsoft players and reenactors who decided to assemble a set of American infantrymen from the late 20th century and early 2000s are forced to buy replica helmets and cover them with original camouflage covers. But no one produces copies of PASGT-V or Interceptor body armor. The exception is RBA body armor. I think this is because they are simpler in structure and easier to copy. But it helps that reenactors have associations and through them it’s possible to buy something rare. So I would say that the situation is quite the same.)

The main difference is that the 6sh122 is based of the bars sumrak m1. It copies the loop design (6 loops horizontal for vegatation.) but cancels the chest pockets and over cloth on the hand. BARS uses string at the waist for their sumraks, (and middle torso) and have pass through side pockets. SSO sumraks use a lace up front instead of canadian button up. SSO sumraks use the same 6 horizontal vegation loop design. I believe only old gen SSO sumraks had chest pockets or maybe Im thinking of partizan suits. SSO sumraks also had the over cloth on the hand. They use elastic for the waist. The most common sumraks are reversible. pass through side pockets ? Partizan suits use a canadian button up front, use 3 vertical vegatation loops intead of 6 horizontal loops. The 3 loops have two similar sized loops on the ends with one smaller loop in the middle. Partizan suits use string at the waist ( and middle torso, new gen doesnt) . The most common partizan suits are reversible. pass through side pockets? I think old gen partizan suits had both chest and lower pockets while new gen only has chest pockets. All and all the 6sh122 is a cross between a new gen partizan suit with a bars sumrak. Using the 6 horizontal loops, string at the waist and middle torso, canadian button up front, reversible, two pockets at the waist, newer gen also has pockets on the shoulders, pass through side pockets, and thats about it. Overall I think the 6sh122 is more akin to a bars sumrak m1 or m2 and is less like a SSO partizan suit or Sumrak when you get technical. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMMENTING!

@soldiers_backpack I was originally going to do a what we call it here in the United States “green bean kit” which is just a standard ratnik loadout but instead decided to invest that money into buying into what we call “old gen” Russian gear (1979-2010) because it will become very hard to get soon. And because I like the old stuff a little bit more than the new stuff. Not really a big fan of a lot of the gear coming out of the current era, doesn’t have much character as the old gen stuff. (I especially love Chechen war mvd kit) I’m also interested into getting into KSOR kit here soon because I think it’s rad. Anyways im still probably going to still do a green bean kit at some point lol. When I do I will not buy repro, I would probably do a field exercise machine gunner kit with no armor and only 6sh117 or just do a standard rifleman loadout. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMMENTING!!!!

They are called 6Sh112 and are covered with Flora camouflage. The Interior Ministry forces also had their own version of the 6SH112 chest rig, which was called a "Tank" or something like that.

I prefer my head buzzed, I only grow my hair out to donate it for wigs for people less fortunate.

Many people either wear commercial helmets ( ops-core like ) with other headphones, or do not wear headphones at all (Personally, I can judge by the 31st VDV brigade in which I was )

Because German sizes run small, and also because I intended to use this during the colder months. During the colder months, I typically like to layer to help regulate body temperature. Having some wiggle room helps when fitting a big puffy fleece.
