Hi, I’m Jessica. All my life I have constantly struggled to fit into “normal” society including school, friends, work, and even my family. After a lifetime of not fitting in and not knowing why, at 38 years old I was diagnosed with autism. After my diagnosis I realized I had been trying to be someone that I was never meant to be.
Since then, I have been working on creating a more intentional life that supports my needs as an autistic person. I’ve been creating a life designed to bring me peace while finally discovering my authentic self. By telling my story through this channel I hope to inspire others to live a life that is authentic and brings them joy and a sense of healing.

Reese's in one pile, heresy's in anther, and so on until everything was sorted with like candy.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing
While I personally loved trick or treating pumpkin carving was a sensory nightmare for me too. As a kid horror movies were like that for me as well but not so much now.
there were so many "horror" movies I watched as a kid that still give me nightmares.
Can I still celebrate Halloween despite being autistic? (Serious question)
@@bobbyisonline i know several autistic people who enjoy celebrating Halloween and dressing up. I just personally don't.
@@jessicaraegalwood Thank you so much for your reply ❤️ Stay safe
@@bobbyisonline you as well!
Thank you so much for sharing this… I’m a late diagnosed person, diagnosed at 17 years of age. I’m 19 now and I have been hurt by this description of refusing to let it define me being really enforced on me. It brings me joy to hear the experiences from other people in the neurodivergent community who are so accepting of who they are
I'm so happy to hear that you are embracing such a key part of who you are! I think most people see autism as something to overcome instead something that should be embraced. Hopefully with more awareness, non-autistics will stop trying to get us to conform to their social standards.
Thanks for video and explaining what you had to go through. As an adult i hate Halloween, too. We turn off lights and i lock myself in room too .
Yep, I definitely plan to hide out in my bedroom all night!
Love you guys❤❤
Awe, you are so sweet! Thank you!!!!!
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😥😥❤️🩹❤️🩹
100% relate! She's so lucky to have had you. Sounds like the exact same thing my little Evee went through. Heart murmur, needed a small tumor taken out of her mouth , made appointment, day before surgery she wasn't breathing right , took her in and doctor said her heart is failing. He went to go get heart medication and she literally flopped on the floor and starting dying. Thanks for sharing your video. It's so hard loosing your best friend.
Awe, I'm so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. I've had so many pets over the years and it never gets easier to say goodbye to our fur babies. Thank you for your kind words. It sounds like Evee was loved by wonderful people.
GOD JESUS CHRIST THE HOLY SPIRIT HAVE POWER OVER THIS IN JESUS CHRIST NAME AMEN AMEN AMEN ❤️❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Too fast mainly because you are NOT really in touch with the viewers, because you are more into READYING. When those who REALLY CAREE to help explain WHY they Like their TINY HOUSE, they are NOT READING, because THEY care to help the view understand better
I'm not sure what you mean by "READYING". I've never heard that term before. Also, we don't live in a tiny home, we only stayed in one for a few nights.
I am Dyslexic, but NOT DUMB STUPID. Growing 365 days a year to hear those words and then go home to hear it again. READING word for word, like Harris got stuck when she the Prompters to tell her what to Say , and all she could keep repeating was Magic Johnson "32" days left, over and over waiting for the prompter to come back on . WHEN PEOPLE, HAVE TO READ WHAT THEY WANT TO SAY, THEY ARE NOT REALLY CONNECTING TO THE VIEWERS. If YOU know your subject you do not Need to read it. Connect with to us. Again I can not see what I typed. Einstein, THE "FONDZ" Henry Winkler dyslexic, can not READ NOR WRITE. Founder of IKEA dyslexic
What a wonderful and beautiful life you live, wishing you well!
Awe, thank you! Most of the time my life feels like a giant struggle but capturing some of the highlights in a video helps me realize that there are parts that are really great.
Loved that cake! So cool!
I'm not sure if I counted correctly but mine would be September 24th, I think! This is such a cute idea!

This was a great video! Thanks for sharing 😊 looking forward to more of your videos of tiny house tours and your journey to tiny! We’re a family living in Australia- & also looking at potentially going tiny ☺️
@@laurenbailey8533 I'm glad you liked the video! Hopefully this fall we'll get to stay in another tiny home and film another tour!
I find it interesting how you discussed your picky eating and how you've noticed your behavior changing since you were told you have Autism. Being an introvert is also normal for many people, but please take care of yourself. I'd hate for your channel to become a diary of you becoming hysterical. All of the topics you've discussed can be normal for people even not on "the spectrum". I just hope your diagnosis doesn't define who you think you are. Hopefully you have a support system that helps you on this journey without making you feel like you don't deserve to function. It's one thing if you have to arrange how your life looks to make it easier and another to just stop doing what you love because you don't think you can fit into the tasks and groups you were once a part of.
@@ShainaM22 huh? I'm so confused by your comments. I know you think you're being helpful but your actually just invalidating my experiences with your ignorance.
@@jessicaraegalwood I'm just saying you're the same person you were before being told you have Autism. And I hope you feel supported and like you're learning new ways to manage life. The comment I made is positive. I hope people don't treat you differently including yourself. You seem like a nice person who shouldn't feel like you can't learn or function the way you used to. It's amazing how accessible our world is versus how it was years ago when it comes to accommodating people who have different needs!
Nice hotel not good for living.
Have you been? I'd love to hear how your experience was.
Love tiny home tours, and I like your word of the year.
Awe, thank you! Although my word of the year is proving easier said than done :)
I really really like how she doesn’t have to crawl up into her room !! I would require that now - oh and a fireplace and I’d be home 🏡 ❤ ! Soon !!!
Same, I would love a fireplace in this tiny!
No video of this tiny home park ever mentions the Cascadia Subduction Zone that lies just off the coast. It is the reason why there are no major cities along the coastline of Oregon and Washington.
?
Honestly, I had never heard of that until just now.
Its the same threat as “the big one” in California ……no one on the coast lives in dread of it, but we are preparing for it with emergency preparedness. The location of this tiny home village is high enough that it wouldn’t be affected. I live in the area, so I am familiar with it.
Great video ❤😊
Thank you so much!
Just so you know professionals don't have diagnostic criteria manual to dx an ASD adults. Currently there's only a manual to dx children.
I cannot comment on that and I didn't say there was a manual specifically for adults or children.
@@jessicaraegalwood Just letting you know there's no specific or separate Manuel for Dx in ASD adults.
I've always been the loner in social situations. I have difficulty connecting with people regularly. I also have always done the T-Rex arms or rest my hands on my hips. I always thought it was weird when I would catch myself but I didn'tknow why I did it. My kids were both diagnosed autistic and since it's hereditary, it's likely I am too. Thank you for your video

One thing that disappointed me about this community is the owners allowing those who live there (when they want to leave) to sell their home vs taking their TH and freeing up the space for the next person on the waitlist. I've seen it done elsewhere and it's an unfortunate business model. The people who are then selling jack up the price of the home and one is left with; do I pay that overinflated price or continue on the wait list? I think it speaks to an integrity issue overall. Maybe the owners get some kickback? Imagine being next on the waitlist and then this comes to pass. Thank you for taking the time to share a tour of this place.
Yeah, I noticed that with some of the tiny homes that came up for sale in this community recently. I researched the company that built them and found out they were cheaper to buy brand new.
Do people get to buy their spaces? Or do they just rent the space like a mobile home and are at the mercy of a landload?
At this location, you own your home but rent the space for about $700/month.
And the price goes up every couple of years.
You have a gorgeous home with everything you need plus plenty space aand downstairs bedroom ❤
Thank you! I wish this was our home! We were only renting it for the weekend!
Thanks for sharing about the mini split. I'm sensitive to to air conditioners and heaters. I want to trial one of the window air conditioners to see how that goes otherwise just go without living in Washington state. I want to get a wood stove cuz just a tiny bit of wood scraps can heat the whole house quietly, lol. You two are cute. Thanks for sharing. Incredible Tiny Homes in Tenn has lots of options. Oh ur pup is so sweet.
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the tour! I know my husband would also love a woodstove, they are so cozy!
I have watched hundreds of tiny home videos, and this is the first one that has mentioned the vibrations or the noise of the mini-split - so, something good to know! Good luck with your travels and checking out other tinies in your search for what might work for you!
Thank you so much! Hopefully we'll go on another tour soon!
I have a mini split and hardly know it's on!
Don't think the mini-split is supposed to make noise/vibrate. Might want to report that so it can be looked at!!
Less talking, more showing of the tiny house and area pls , otherwise it’s annoying
Thank you for your kind message! Positivity is always appreciated!
the background music really drowns out your voice when you're explaining about the house. would be better to just hear you giving full details as you walk though in real time. just a thought.
Thanks for the advise!
Agree with you @potts9274
Very nice tour. Very professional. Can't wait to see more videos from you.
Thank you, we are hoping to tour some more tiny homes soon!
