@mikepotter4141 check ur timing these cars will still runn with timing off, just not good lol. Vac leaks are easy to find, start car, idle it and spray brake cleaner all over the place if it revs up or dies down u found ur leak

did spark plugs and coils fix your issue? i’m having the same problem. i’ve replaced the spark plugs, ignition coils, distributor cap and rotors as well as the fuel pump and it still happening

$1000 is crazy I paid 11k Canadian for mine 3 years ago with about 155,000 kms

Fuel cut, sputtering, bogging, loss of power, misfires. Anything really. A failing ecu can cause a ton of problems including false engine lights etc

U didnt set it right then. If it happened after u touched the car, u didn something wrong.

Maintenance lol. Spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, ecu rebuild, igniters and ignition coils as they all are common failures. Get those out of the way so any issues down the road likely wont be those

Fluids, filters and what i mentioned above. Then start modding imo. Maintenance is like free horsepower back

U need to see mine misfiring to know if urs is? If ur car is misfiring and spark is "good" its probly these or igniters.

Kinda hard to record an issue that happens randomly and notnall thw time

If ur car doesnt want to accelerate over a certain rpm id look into these and igniters. If it does that fine, do some more diag like swapping them around and seeing if the misfire switches banks

its not necessarily the coil packs you should check spark fuel compression ect.

Idk, a misfire is a misfire Meaning a cylinder is not firing. Do some diag or plug a scanner in. No sense guessing that could be a million things

Vac leak, low fuel pressure, inconsistent spark, bad sensor (these cars have tons), iacv..

@@Bimmer-Fonz He may have a 1990-1995 though. Thankfully, my LS400 is the first year of OBDII (1996) so I can check my codes.

Fuel pump, fuel filter, igniters, ignition coil, ecu or fuel pump ecu was probly the culprit. All of my lexuses had that issue at some point or another. Why i stopped owning them

I just went to my local parts store brotha, they were like 80$ for the pair with a 20% discount. Try rockauto.com though!

If that doesnt fix your issue it will likely be the ignitors, another very easy part to replace and u can get away with just buying 1 cause if both fail u will only be running in 4cyl

i believe the trac fuse was pulled if i remember correct, whichever one has to do w reverse lights

@@searchdaone8130 just smash the gas and give the car a little flick, the body weight will do the rest. u can see in the video i flick it right then left a bit
