Our trip to Levi - Lapland at the beginning of December 2022. I’m by all means no vlogger, this is just a video account of our holiday that we can share with our family and maybe some people may find it useful if you are planning a trip in 2023…. We are family of five, our boys are aged 4, 11 and 13 (grandparents also came too) We went 27th November to the 4th December. We had plenty of snow fo...

Day 5 #babylouisdoesdisney A bit of a lie in 💤 this morning then we made our way to Animal Kingdom for about 11am. Today’s fast passes were for Kilimanjaro Safari, Na’vi River, Expedition Everest and Dinosaur. All really good rides, although we all agreed that Na’vi River isn’t worth the long wait times, but if you can get a fast pass for it then it’s definitely worth a go 👍🏻 Everest was scarie...

Day 6 #babylouisdoesdisney So today was a trip out to the water park for some much needed rest😎 (if you can call it rest 🤷♀️) Blizzard Beach was the choice, although if it was up to our eldest son he would spend everyday jumping waves 🌊 at Typhoon Lagoon🤔 Karl went out to pack the car as he does every morning and as he went out of the door I could hear him chuntering to himself ...he’d only go...

Day 4 #babylouisdoesdisney Today’s alarm was set for 5am (hubbys loving my itinary 🤣)The reason for this absolute crazy get up time was that we had made breakfast reservations at 8:40 in MK to try and get some empty park photos in front of the castle 😊. The park officially opens at 9am, they start letting people into Main Street at 8am but if you have a breakfast reservation before 9am they let...

Day 3 #babylouisdoesdisney Today we decided to go to Typhoon Lagoon, 💦 this is the boys favourite water park. They love the giant wave pool 🌊. I think Liam would quite happily spend the whole 2 weeks here if he could (or if Mummy’s itinerary would allow it! 😉) Speaking of itineraries- I admit I am a major planner. I love my lists (ask my husband he loves being left his job lists 😂) I think part...

Amazing video. Very helpful Was it DIY or was it booked through an agent ? I have been looking Canterbury or TUI but my son is autistic and I feel it would be too much for him to get ready on time and do activities according to timetable. I don’t know if DIY would be helpful or not ? 😊
Hi, where did you book the trip?
👍👍
Not one covid mask insight.
Great video! Really helpful. The itinerary you showed at the start, when did you receive that please?
Geile idee
Yes definitely worth the money and would defo recommend safari lodges if stopping over…description been updated with story of the trip 👍🏻
The following morning we headed across the road to Speelland but not before a buffet breakfast...the memo to the kids was the usual…fill your bellies so you’re not pestering for food all day!!.....breakfast was good but don’t expect a full English, my only negative was on day two instead of beans they laid on peas and sweetcorn which was baffling…maybe a Dutch tradition..I don’t know?! After breakfast we travelled to Speeland by car but I’m led to believe there’s a shuttle train from Hogan House. Imo not sure if it was the time of year or the fact it was overcast but it was very quiet and there were no queue’s or waiting to do any of the activities. Activities included trampolines, bouncing pillow, park, sand park, pull raft, pedalos, bouncing castle and there was also a two or three rides. We spent around three hours there which we felt was enough (it did pour it down at the end which probably encouraged our departure). Had the weather been sunny we probably could have got a good 8 hours out of the day there with kids. There were also some good waterslides however they were closed when we went. From Speeland we headed around the lake to ETSI pool which was great, kids loved it…there’s a lazy river pool, a main pool and also a splash area for the smaller kids. Floatation aids were available for the non-swimmers. In the evening we headed to our trusted Jumbo and bought four large Pizzas which we again took back to the lodge. Anyone looking to keep costs low when traveling as a family of five this is a great option, each pizza was 7 euro each, they were huge and you could choose your own toppings. After dinner we headed up to the Safari Hotel where we had a game of ten pin bowling. Price for this was €25.50 for 55 mins. EFTELING It was another early start ahead of the 30 minute drive from Berksee to Efteling. Packing consisted of chucking every thing in the suitcase 20 minutes before vacating the lodge then hitting the road. Like every journey it was easy and hassle free, totally opposite of driving on British roads. We parked at Loonchland hotel where we had booked and managed to get in one of multiple available electric car charging spaces. Parking here allowed us to top the car up to 100% whilst we spent the day in the park. From Loonchland hotel to the parks main entrance it was about a 10 minute walk but without a pair of little legs walking alongside it probably can be done in 5. Walking in the park we tried to get our bearings with the map but then decided to hit it clockwise, the first stop being Spookjesbros (enchanted forest) which is aimed at the youngest of visitors. We didn’t spend much time in here, the older two got bored after 10 mins and our 5 year old wasnt showing much interest (stories told in Dutch) so we suggested to come back if we had enough time over the two days. We headed to Villa Volta (spinning room all kids loved) and Vogel Rok (inside dark roller coaster thus no video…5 year old too small for this ride). Pirate ship and Joris en de Draak followed this…infact our 5 year old dragged us on the roller coaster four consecutive times and with 10/15 minute queues…why not! We then explored the water coaster which is brilliant but again our 5 year old had to sit this one out. We wanted to get Python and Baron knocked off but we were booked into the pancake house so decided to leave those rides for day 2. Pancake house was fab but it was just a beer for dad who’s not got a sweet tooth. Mum had cherry pancake with whipped cream , eldest two had ice cream & chocolate sauce and youngest had ‘kids decorate own pancake’ …there’s wasn’t a crumb left!!… Time ticked on and we had just enough time to jump on Max and Moritz before heading for the exit to check into the hotel. The room was a standard size with three single beds and a long bunk above sleeping 2. My only negative was with little to do in the hotel it seemed a long time to me couped up in that sized room with 5 of us. Day 2 we had breakfast which was pretty basic (always disappointed if I can’t grab a full , or even half of a cooked English breakfast) ..so just filled up on pain au chocolates instead. We headed to the park and decided to make a bee line for the big rides (Python and Baron)which we did child swap on so Mum didn’t have to queue again (she could just go straight up the exit path) We then explored the remainder of the park and some of the smaller rides and again went on Vogel Rok. Our 12 year old wouldn’t dare go on Python all day but plucked up the courage towards closing time and loved it that much he stayed on the ride for the next two goes. At night we drove to McDonald’s and KFC 5 mins up the road in Waalwijk (different kids different tastes). We took our food back to the hotel area and discovered a lake to the back that had lodges overlooking it. There were a few activities for kids which made the evening a little less claustrophobic than the night prior. We then headed back to the hotel. On our final morning we again had breakfast and loaded the car then spent until 14:00 in the park. All of us rode Baron (12 year old suddenly likes big rides now after being a wimp two days previously) followed by multiple rides on Python, Joris en de Draak and the water ride Centre Parcs De Eemhof We set off for Eemhof around 15:00 and the traffic was horrendous, what should have been a 1hr 15 drive turned into 3 hours. We also stopped off in Laren to do a big shop at Jumbo before finally arriving at Centre Parcs around 19:30. First impressions of the lodge were nice but it wasn’t as clean as we would see at Centre Parcs at home. There were splattered mosquitos everywhere from previous guests (ps we more than added to this collection)….as we was right by the lake we couldn’t open our door for a second without letting the hungry mosquitos in. Whilst the wife unpacked me and the two youngest headed to the swimming pool and spent our time in the outdoor heated area. The rapids here are pretty cool but are brutal when navigating a 5 year old down, we did it once durning the stay but didn’t dare do it again. Once back at the lodge I studied a degree in mastering their microwave oven and once I’d got my cap and gown we made pizza and chips before heading to bed. The following day we visited the farm and explored the indoor centre where there’s loads to do for kids and a massive soft play. We hired a bike that seated 5 and rode to the harbour. If anyone is thinking of hiring one of these - one hour is more than enough particularly if your kids are half heartily pedalling! In the afternoon we all visited the water park and spent a good couple of hours in there on the slides and in the wave pool. At night we had tacos and wound down with a few beers. Our final day of the holiday was a wind down day , other than the activities previously mentioned we walked to the harbour (expensive yachts galore) and we stopped by the beach club for a latte. It was an early night for us all as the alarm was set for 0530 for the long haul trip back to Barnsley. The ride home was a dream with no traffic and Calais was painless to get through. All in all it was a great trip and experience. My first time driving through Europe which was a doddle. Definitely would consider returning but not before discovering some new places. Advice…if crossing Dartford pre pay before you cross. I forgot with the stress of driving and remembered 4 days in (you should pay crossing by midnight the following day)….i received a PCN warning but allowed me to pay the £2.50 as it was my first offence.

May I know how to fly lapland Rovemani from Gatwrick
I would like to say I have watched dozens of lapland vlogs whilst trying to plan our own DIY trip this year. Yours has been by far the most helpful, especially the tips to keeps costs down (such as the reindeer at K5, which we will book a meal there), the detailed description in the notes is incredibly helpful, not many people take the time to do this.
One of the best videos to watch during Christmas
Great video. Really practical suggestions to keep the costs down. BTW - I believe easyJet now fly to Kittlia
ce parfait🤌🏻
Fantastic memories you made there ❤👍
Hermoso ❤❤❤
Did you need cash or could you use card everywhere? Was it well sign posted for the hidden cafe and fire pit? Thanks, we love you’ve video.
We used both, we took a post office travel card. Hidden cafe wasn’t very signposted…get the cable car to top then when you get off there’s an hotel on the right…walk around the back (can only go clockwise) and it leads to a path….just follow your nose you can’t miss it…for the fire pit, if you go on google maps type in “immeltie kittila” you will see that road leads to a dead end….the dead end leads to a path towards the fire pit
Thank for the video, just showing the place and no so much talking, I enjoy these type of videos from time to time
Hello, how're you doing?
You did everything in Levi. Excellent adventure.
Damn. Why is the fight so noisy?
big like! awesome channel and wonderful video
Every year I check out the live cam during the holiday. So great to see what they have to enjoy. Dumb question do they provide the winter coats? It seems everyone is wearing the same coats. Not just you family,
Yeah it was part of the package…

These well behaved european kids have been weel raised , they seem to be a pleasure. North American kids where I live have kids that are well lets say not so pleasant!! Even the other kids from other familys seem good and well raised.
These are English kids, Europe is a continent.

Lovely video. We’re you pretty much able to walk everywhere, or did you need to hire a ride at times?
Walked everywhere, it’s not a big place and we didn’t venture out of Levi. The three excursions were 15 minute coach rides away
Minulla meni roska silmään tuossa pikkupojan poroajokorttikohassa❤💯
You documented your vacation beautifully. I watch all the WebCams at zero point Levi. And I like to see the videos posted by families. This is the best one yet and you showed so many different things. I always wondered what went on behind the scenes of the WebCams.
I'm sitting in Cairns Australia with a temperature of 27c enjoying your beautiful video and wishing I was there. Wishing you many adventures in 2023

i really enjoyed this video seeing your family enjoying what must be the most magical holiday ever. i am nearly 65 and i wont get to go here but just for the time i watched this video it was as if i was there as a child experiencing this wonderful place. last year we went to see the caringorm reindeer inscotland and that was magic. Seeing the reindeer it brought that mmagical visit back. Santa looked the real deal and of course he was the real santa
Well, you really don't speak too much. It would've been nice to hear how you feel about your experience during your visit. 😀
Nobody wants to listen to my Broad Barnsley accent 😂….Iv summarised the trip in the description
