John Denver died in a plane crash on October 12, 1997, while piloting a home-built aircraft. The aircraft was a Rutan Long-EZ, which is an experimental amateur-built aircraft. Denver had purchased this plane recently and was not fully familiar with its controls, particularly the fuel tank selector valve, which was placed behind the pilot’s left shoulder, requiring the use of a mirror and pliers to operate. This unusual placement contributed to the fatal crash when Denver was unable to switch fuel tanks during flight, leading to a loss of control and the aircraft crashing into Monterey Bay near Pacific Grove, California. I was young when I saw the flying nun. I made a paper hat and attempted to jump off the roof to fly,lol before my mom told me to get down. I've seen norma rae, and Sybil, and the smokey and the bandit movies, and Sally Field is a one of a kind actress. Not many can do what she accomplished, and she needs a star on the walk of fame. Saw this movie at the downtown Joplin Fox Theater when downtown was king. In one movie G.C.Scott in character spoke of being in love with a girl from Webb City my home town adjacent to J town.

Joe also told my Calabrian friend that Elvis couldn't see the movie "The Fall of the Eagles" because Ursula was too sexy and he was jealous seeing her so naked on the bed

This was a great film and superb ending. You never see it on any film channels though. Wonder why?
