That's how its done when showing the weight of a tent, wish more would do it like that. Thanks for showing us. Will definitely try and get hold of one if i get the chance to a bargain :).
Hi du you also bov hau mutch only the fly i vaing
Your poles and bag weigh 361g and mine weigh 551g. Nordisk have some explaining to do. I notice your bag says DAC and that’s missing from mine? My poles just say Nordisk on them.
Why do you only have/use 14 pegs? I thought that there 18 pegs needed. 10 for the floor/outer and 8 for the guy lines.
It's necessary to buy ground sheet or not with this tent ,Iit should have footprint but on tent thick enough ?
I wouldn't say. It's still a relatively heavy tent, this shows in the materials. Groundsheet is alright. Some ultralight tents are much weaker.
Doesn't look super easy to pitch..Good review though 😁😁👍
The Nemo pegs have way more hold power than the straight titanium. Would still recommend the nemo stakes for the two rear pegs at least and maybe the two doors
I get you but you can still get stronger titanium pegs if you need better strength. I'd say any ultralight tent carrier needs titanium pegs in their bag. Mine might be a little weak for some people but titanium is the way forward.
The sea to summit pegs are as light as the titanium pegs (6 pegs is 42g) and are the same style than the Nemo. No excuse to Nemo for these heavy pegs.
looks like the Naturehike Opalus 2, a good design if you have two people and a dog and two packs, most light weight tents with side opening doors make this totally impractical , but this tent addresses this
Yes. I have the naturehike opalus 2 aswell. Amazing tent for the cost. It actually weighs not much more than this, only this is rated for high winds and more permanent rain. But I have it as my backup tent.
Hi Jack, do you happen to know whether or not you would be able to sit on a small camping chair, like the Helinox chair one or zero, in the vestibule? Thanks!
Hello. Yes you can although you may need to slouch a little. I have a REI Flex lite and I can sit however it is tight and only one spot will allow you to sit. Basically two people couldnt but one can.
Haha I had that exact same question in mind about the helinox chair one and the only comment under that video answers that question 😅👌 thanks!! 🙏
You can sit in the 3p version. I think you'd get 2 people sat on ground chairs
Just bought this thanks for sharing this video- Have you tried in cold weather? Did you get the footprint for this? Cheers!
I haven't however I used my Nemo hornet elite 2P (yellow flysheet) in the cold many times. I loved it, breathes well which is good for condensation but bad for insulation/wind resistance. Its a three season at a push mainly good for summer/spring camps. Never let water in when heavily raining.
No. I never purchased the groundsheet. I never do as the tents main feature is its minimal weight so I always try to keep it down.
Just received the Nemo Hornet Elite Osmo 2P tent today and looking at your video? How do you like it after using it?
what do you think of this tent im thinking of getting the hornet elite 1p for uk backpacking
My opinion. Given that it's by far the lightest 2 man you will find that doesn't require trek poles. I'd go for the 2 man. Although for bragging rights the 1 man is the best of the best for ultralight.
Haven't used it yet. Going to lakes in a few weeks I will try it then. I have had the nemo hornet elite 2P (yellow version) for years and loved it. Its the best tent I've found for weight and features. I've tried an MRS carbon reflex 2, big agnes tiger wall platinum, msr freelite 2 but none compare to the nemo.
@@jackmcgowan8071a Tyvek sheet or something in that vein will do the same for more than half the price and the weight. That's what I carry.
Thanks.
